Eira watched her go worriedly but slowly sat back down in her seat. "That could have gone better." She glanced at him sadly, struggling to figure out what to say. "She is pretty. You picked a good one."

Fade exhaled forcefully. "I don't know how I'm going to fix this..." He looked up at her, afraid she was going to suggest that she leaves so he could be with Alysha.

Eira tried to smirl reassuringly at him. "Just call her once we get home." She suggested but her attention was drawn away from him as Maladice suddenly sat down across from them. She swallowed nervously but shifted away from fade.

Maladice chuckled amd leaned back in the seat as he watched them. "That was entertaining to watch."

"I guess---" he started to say, but then stopped when he saw Maladice sit across from them. "What do you want?" he growled, narrowing his eyes at him.

Maladice glanced at Fade for a moment, looking him over. "Im here to talk with Eira so just eat your breakfast and mind your own business." He looked at Eir as he shifted in his seat. "You dont get to ignore me. Why didnt you answer my call this morning?" He snarled at her.

Eira looked at the table, clearly ashamed an looking like a child beign scolded. "I was with Fade... You ignore me when you are with your wife so i-"

"My relationship with my wife is completely different than whatever you have with this deamon." He said sharply, cutting her off. "What we have and what you have with him is the exact same thing and before you try to convince yourself of anythign else just thing about what you just did. Once again you were where you shouldn't have been and potentially ruined the good relationship he was forming all because of your foolish desires." He paused and allowed his lecture to sink in, watching as tears threatened to spill down her face. He reached forward and gently took hold of her hand, bringing it to his lips. "Come with me, Eira. Lets go have some fun today and leave the mortals to their own devices. He wont ever understand you like I do anyways."

Fade growled. "If you're upsetting her, it's definitely my business. She's my friend, and I care about her." He narrowed his eyes at Maladice. "I'm not a demon!" he argued. "And what we have and what you have with Eira are two completely different things! I actually care about her! I don't push her around like you do, and I certainly don't chasten her like you're doing! She's an adult, she can do what she wants and go wherever she wants. Her wants and desires aren't foolish, and your relationship with her is anything but good. I understand her a whole lot better than you do, Malice, so don't even think otherwise!" He bared his teeth at her. "What have you ever done for her, other than ruin her life? Thanks to me, I fixed the curse that you helped put on her. Why should she be with you after what you had done? I would NEVER do something like that to her. You're just toying around with her. I actually love her."

Maladice scoffed and leveled a glare on Fade. "Love? WHat would a creature like you know about love?" he reached across the table and roughly grabbed Eira's wrist making her whimper in pn but she made no attempt to defend herself against him. "Look at her. She is nothing more than a hunk of ice. You can sit here and pretend to care about her but everyone knows the truth. You don't love her. You just dont want to be alone." H continued to grip Eira's wrist tightly as he turned his attention on her. "Lets go. You've done enough damage for one day." He snapped before dragging her to her feet and towards the door.

"Don't talk about her like that, you selfish creature!" Fade bared his teeth at him, getting up. "That's what you're doing! You're using her so you don't have to be alone!" He rushed over to him, shoving him forcefully away from Eira. "She doesn't want anything to do with you, okay? Now leave her alone!" He stood protectively between her and him, glaring at Maladice.

Maladice stumbled back when he was shoved. He glared at fade but when he saw the fierce look on his face and the fear in eira's eyes as she cowered behind him he just brushed himself off with a scowel. "We will talk later, eira, when this fool isnt in the way." He turned and left with as much dignity he could muster.

Eira watched him go scared as she clung to fade's arm. "Thank you... Im sorry you got dragged into this." She whispered softly

"Well, then, I'll make sure I'm always in the way," he snapped. "Because you're not having her." He wrapped a protective arm around Eira's waist, holding her close as he watched Maladice leave with narrowed eyes. "Don't be sorry. I'd get myself dragged into this either way. He's not having you. He doesn't deserve your attention." He turned to face her once he was certain Maladice had gone. He softly kissed her cheek, pulling her closer.
