1x1 w/ Anna and Echo

Jace fell asleep quickly. When he woke up the next day, he stumbled to the bathroom to throw up. His head pounded painfully as he threw up, clutching the seat of the toilet.

Alex woke up on the couch when he heard Jace throwing up. He got up and walked into the bathroom where he kneeled beside Jace and smoothed back his hair to try to comfort him. He handed him a glass of water once he had calmed down so he could rinse out his mouth, watching him worriedly. "Can I get you anything?"

Jace shook his head, rinsing his mouth with the water. "Actually, yes. Do you have any advil? Tylenol?" He rubbed his head, groaning. "Remind me to never drink that much again."

Alex got up and got the medicine, handing it to him but he didn't have the luxury of a hangover to numb his broken heart. "You say that like Ill be around to do that." He muttered as he sat back down on the floor by Jace, hugging one of his legs to his chest as his other extended outward, his bare foot pressing against the side of the tub.

Eira arrived back in town, feeling a bit sour from her time away but hoping to find Fade so she could cheer up and spend time with him again. She felt bad for how long she had been gone but she figured he wouldnt notice.

Jace took the medicine, his heart dropping. "Did you drink the rest of your wine?" He asked quietly, feeling like he was going to be sick again, and it wasn't because of his hangover.

Fade was lying on his back on the bed, staring numbly at the ceiling.

ALex shook his head. "I can tell you guys didnt run your plan by Circe because she would have warned you that even though elves dont have a lot of magic we are great at detecting it." He looked over at Jace with a serious expression. "I know you tried to drug me with a love potion and I realize that you were drunk and that it was probably Ricky's stupid idea so Im not upset. I just want to know why."

Eira slipped inside the house and softly knocked on his door before going in and shutting the door behind her. "Hey. You feeling ok?" She asked in a soft voice as she perched on the edge of the bed, looking down at him.

Jace pressed his hands to his face, ashamed and embarrassed. "I couldn't get you to be with me. You're going to marry someone else. Ricky gave me three options, and as much as I wanted him to kill your fiancé, I couldn't let him do that. And I didn't want to loose you. I can't loose you."

"You're back." His voice was dull and emotionless. "Did you have fun?" His eyes stayed on the curling, his expression blank.

Alex watched him carefully as he tried to force his mind to think faster. "Jace... you dont need a love potion to make me fall in love in love with you. I already am." He sat on the floor for a few moments before getting up and walking off to his bedroom in silence. Jace could hear him looking for something before walking back in and resuming his spot on the floor. He sat a ring box on the floor between them but didn't open it. He couldn't look at Jace and instead focused on the tub in front of him. "In there is the ring you bought for me and the ring I bought for you as soon as I was able to come home. I honestly didn't expect us to break up and thought that once we had both adjusted to being together again that we would be back on track for figuring out what we wanted... Ill admit I never thought you would figure out hat you didnt need me anymore." He paused as he tried to wade through his thoughts, not wanting to say anything wrong or hurt Jace further. "I love you, Jace. I just don't know if us being together is what is best for you. You deserve so much more than what I can offer you. You deserve a normal life away from all of this magical mess."

Eira smirked and laid beside him, wrappign her arms around him as she kissed his jaw. "Not as much fun as I have whenever Im with you. Did you miss me or did you not even notice I was gone because you were so busy with your other girls?"

"I needed a love potion to get you away from everyone else. You're not willing say no to the marriage. You want to rule, and you don't want the others to get someone else to do it." He looked away from the rings bitterly. "I can't convince you to love me more than them. I understand that; I hate myself. If I were you, I would have left me way earlier. I'm sick of bring me. I..." He buried his head in his hands. "You have a purpose. You have people who need you here. Don't bother with me, okay? I'm not selfless enough to deserve you. I'm..." He gripped his head. "Just go do what you need to. Stop worrying about me. I won't be anything to be concerned about for much longer."

Alex sighed and reached over, pulling Jace into his lap and wrapping his arms around him tightly. "I am not doing this for power. I am not doing this because I want to. I am doing this because I don't know what the right answer is." He softly kissed the side of Jace's head and held him even tighter, not wanting to let him go. He reached down with one hand and picked up the box, fumbling a bit to open it as he kept his arms around Jace. Carefully he pulled out the ring for Jace and slipped it onto Jace's finger. "You are the only person I care about. Everyone else is just extra and I would trade everything I have just to see you smile." He lifted Jace's hand to his mouth and kissed his knuckles above the ring. "I know that I want you. I know that what I want doesn't matter, though." He looked up and tried to meet Jace's eyes as he continued to grip his left hand. "Be mine. I don't have t make a final choice for a while so just be mine until the wedding. At that point if you haven't changed your mind and still want me then I will call it off but if you decide you want something else out of life or find someone who makes you happy and who actually deserves to call you theirs then I bow out gracefully and let you have the life you deserve. Just let me be selfish right now. Please."
