"You're so handsome," he sighed, tracing Alex's lips with the tip of his finger. He shrugged, reaching for the glass of water, but his hand closed on air. He frowned, reaching for it again.

Alex didnt smile. He took jaces hand and wrapped it around the cup before helping to guide the cup to his lips. "Just sip, ok? Youre going to be ok."

Jace took a sip of the water, thankfully not spilling any. He set it down with his help, and moved closer to Alex. He leaned drunkly against him, wrapping his arms around him. He slipped the potion into Alex's wine glass while distracting him with the embrace.

Alex sighed as his embrace almost knocked his glass over as Jace's hands fumbled about. He caught the glass, unaware of what Jace had tipped into it, before refocusing on Jace. "Lets just get you to bed, ok?"

"Okay," he slurred, clinging to Alex's shirt. "Marry me," he drawled, sloppily kissing him.

Alex didnt respond at first. All of this was hurting him too much. "You dont mean that, Jace. You're just drunk." He muttered as he helped him up and to the bedroom."

He stumbled into the bedroom, leaning heavily on Alex. He collapsed onto the bed, curling up on top of the covers.

Alex looked at him worriedly and gently smoothed back his hair. He pulled the blankets up around Jace and tucked him into bed. Softly he kissed his forehead. "Get some sleep. We can talk in the morning."

Jace smiled, lovingly gazing at him. "Thanks, Alex," he murmured. "I love you."

Alex couldnt respond, not without breaking his own heat all over again. He got up and left the room, quietly shuttign the door behind him so Jace Could sleep off his intoxication.
