1x1 w/ Anna and Echo

Jace pulled away from his, burying his face in his hands, sobbing. He felt like he was going to both be sick and die. He shuddered as he clutched his head in his hands.

Alex watched him for a few moments, desperate to help him. "Tell me how i can help you. I dont want you to be hurting." He didnt reach out to him, knowing it wouldnt help, but continued to speak gently. "I love you, jace. Your hapiness is my first priority but i have seen how my presence has been hurting you and keeping you from life. You deserve so much more than what i am. I will forever cherish the time i got to spend with you and cant thank you enough for loving me as long as you did. Its time you put yourself first, though. You dont need to look after me anymore. Its going to be ok."

"I want to be with you," he whispered. "Please, please, please. You won't be happy with Penelo, I know it. Please be with me. Don't worry about them, they never cared about you and what you want. They tried to control you. Please don't do this for them. I need you." He reached out and gripped Alex's hand.

Alex didnt know what to do or what the right answer was. He needed to think. He gently pulled his hand away and drove off to Jace's house, not saying anything until he had pulled into the driveway. He looked up at the house he was supposed to live in as he listened to the man he loved crying beside him. "How do you know you would be happy with me? Youre right, marrying penelo wouldnt make me happy but it would make a lot of other people happy. I cant keep being selfish and trying to run away from my duties in the hope that one day things go back to how they were because they might never. I might cancel the wedding just for you to decide the next day you dont want me again. I need to do what is best for the most people."

Jace pressed his hands to his head. "I love you," he whispered. "If you ever change your mind, I'll be here. I can't imagine being with anyone but you, and I'm terribly sorry that I couldn't have realized what I wanted before that. If you choose to marry her, I can't see you again. I don't want to be at your wedding, or see you with her. I can't do that for you. If you choose to be with me, I promise you, I'll never leave you. I wish I never had broken up with you, had I known this would happen. I can't bare to loose you again. So you decide what you want." He unclipped his seatbelt, staring up at his house.

Alex looked down at his lap sadly. "What i want has never mattered, jace. I dont think i have ever even fully considered it. All i know is that im tired of hurting people and of dissapointing people every time my emotions take over and i find myself standing at the edge of a roof. I just want everything to stop for even a moment so i can breathe." He forced himself to look back at jace and truely see him since he knew he might not get the chance to ever again. "Im sorry i keep hurting you. I dont think i can ever love someone as much as i love you but so far it seems like all my love is good for is causing us both pain."

Jace shook his head. "Not always," he argued. "You've also given the both of us happiness that I wouldn't have otherwise had." He leaned closer and kissed him. "I miss you already," he whispered painfully. He pulled away, getting out of the truck before he could do something ridiculous like kidnap him.

Alex kissed him back but as Jace left he felt his heart rip from his chest and go with him. He watched him until he dissapeared into the house, sadly driving off as his mind resumed its numb state.

A few hours later, Jace was curled up on the floor, drunkily muttering Alex's name. Saige nudged him with her foot from where she sat beside him, but he didn't react. The house was a mess, but she wasn't going to bother to clean it up before he was finished trashing the place. Saige was just trying to keep him from either drinking himself to death, or running out of here to kill Alex's new fiancé.

Ricky was walking around, holding vizzie with one arm as he picked up anything sharp and threw it away. He was tired from taking care of everyone and was starting to get annoyed. "Why dont you just marry him first abd have it blessed so they leave you guys alone?" He muttered bitterly as vizzie giggled and tried to grab a shard of glass.
