Circe bit her lip. "I dont know. I know he wont want to stay with my family. I know Ricky just moved but he might be willing to take Alex in."

Jace nodded slightly. "Maybe Kailor could take him in?"

"Ill ask." She looked at Jace worriedly. "Are you ok?"

Jace shook his head, pressing his lips against the back of Alex's hand. He needed Alex to get better.

Circe sighed. "Im going to go get a coffee and text the others. Do you want anything?" She asked as she stood up

"Coffee, please." Jace kissed Alex's fingertips, focusing on his hand instead of the rest of him.

Circe nodded. She got up but hesitate before leaving. She leaned forward and kissed his forehead. "He's going to be ok. I promise." She turned and left quickly, grateful for the break."

Jace took her hand for a moment, giving it a grateful squeeze before letting it go. He rested his forehead on the edge of the bed, sighing.

Circe leaned against the hallway wall and texted everyone what had happened to Alex before looking around. It was quiet with how late it was but everything still seemed deafening. Now that she didnt have to be strong in front of Jace she felt like she was falling apart and several sobbs began to escape from her. She couldnt get the image of Alex's father attacking him as he screamed at her to get out. She hated herself for listening to Alex and running off. SHe should have done something but she was too scared if she tried to she would end up killing someone. SHe wiped the tears off her face as she looked down at her phone. Her reflex was to text RIcky but she knew what he would want to do in this situation; go after Alex's dad. She wasnt in the mood to deal with two blood thirsty people. SHe looked at her other contacts and stopped when she saw Kailor's name. SHe bit her lip hesitantly, unsure of how she would react, before sending her a text. "I really dont want to be aloen right now."

Kailor didn't reply to the text, but came straight over. She wrapped Circe in a hug, pulling her close. "Come on, sweetie." She sat Circe down in a chair and bought coffee. She set a cup in Circe's hands and sat down beside her, hugging her. "I'm sorry. I wish I had been there to stop it."
