June nodded but her pace slowed as she saw a blue bird flutter up onto of the hedges and tweet down at them.

Ricky had to focus on every step he took making their progress slow. At last they came across where the fox sat with the orb, looking disgruntled as he saw them. "Should I even bother with an offer or will you just try to kick me if I do that?" he sneered at Saige.

Circe glanced at her worriedly but didnt say anything as she watched Kal and June, not wanting to upset kailor again since she wasnt sure what she had done in the first place.

Alex glanced at Jace as they ate but stayed quiet for a long moment, trying to think of the right thing to say. "How... how are you feeling about the casino thing?"

"I meant what I said. I... like you a lot." He glanced at the bird, frowning.

"You have to touch it. The orb," she whispered to Ricky. She helped him over to it slowly.

"Sorry," she whispered to Circe, not looking at her. "I'm just...embarrassed."

Jace shoved his hands into his pockets. "I just hope no one says anything," he muttered. "Or I'll be in trouble." He glanced over at Alex, but looked away. "I'm sorry. For the night at the club. I...didn't know. I wouldn't have kissed you if I had known. I didn't want to make things....worse."

June stopped walking and frowned at him, letting him see her ordinary face since it would make her point better. "We agreed we wouldn't though. We are barely friends so dont make things worse by breaking the rule you wanted. Besides, the only reason you even think you like me is because of my magic. If I wasnt what I am and looked like this all of the time you wouldn't even notice me or care about me in the slightest."

Ricky glared at the fox but did as he was told causing him to teleport away from Saige and fall to the ground int he dinning hall. He felt his energy rush back into him but he didnt bother to get back up, staying crouched on the floor and listening to the others as he tried to process everything and deal with his own embarrassment.

Circe looked over at her, unsure of what to do. "Why? I dont see any reason you should be."

ALex looked away. "Dont worry about it. You didnt do anything wrong and, besides, it doesnt really bother me anymore. It happened, its over, Ive moved on. Its not the reason I... I dont want want you to think to much into it. It was just a thing that happened. Nothing more."

Kal's gaze went sad. "June...." He reached out and brushed her cheek with his hand. "I don't like you because of your magic. That's not why I like you. You're beautiful even when your glamor is gone, so you don't need to hide your face."

Saige touched the orb, wanting to be back in the dinning hall.

Kailor clutched her hands in her lap. "I just told everyone I have a crush on you. Why wouldn't that be embarrassing?"

"Okay." He bit his lip reaching over and touching Alex's hand.

June gave him a disapproving look before pulling away from his touch and looking away. "You've got that all mixed up. People only like me for my magic and glamor." She sighed and adjusted her hood, trying to hide her face. "We both made each other promise not to catch feelings for eachother and so stick to it. Its what you wanted anyway. Besides, allowing yourself to think that you love me or whatever is probably just going to get you further from that future you saw or whatever." She watched the bird flutter around, trying to get their attention. "I think it wants us to follow it."

Saige appeared next to Ricky who was finally making himself sit up and look at the others.

Circe smirked at her reassuringly. "We all said some silly stuff. I dont see how it is anyone else's business and should just be forgotten among all of us. Besides, if anyone tries to tease you over it just hold what they said over them." She looked back at the orb, frustrated as she saw Kal and June hadnt moved. "besides, its just a crush. Everyone gets them and they normally go away pretty quickly. I mean I had a crush on Ricky for a little bit there but that went away really quick."

Alex flinched away but after a moment took hold of Jace's hand, lacing their fingers together.

Kal's hand dropped and his face fell. "No, it's not," he whispered. "Because you're in it."

Saige sighed in relief, getting up. She sat down beside Ricky, taking his hand.

"That's different," she snapped, irritated. "He has a glamour." She huffed, shoving her hands into her pockets. "Whatever," she muttered. "Believe what you want."

Jace relaxed a bit, holding on to his hand. He rubbed his thumb in circles on the back of Alex's hand absentmindedly, watching the orb.

June looked at him confused but cautiously began to follow the bird. "Were you drowning me or something?" SHe muttered bitterly.

Ricky squeezed her hand gently and went to the table, sitting down with the others. He looked around at who all was there and smirked. "Why am I not surprised Kal and June are last?"

Circe shot a look at Ricky. "They are only last because you had help or else you would still be in there." She shot at him but giggled as he smirked at her. SHe looked back at Kailor, trying to find a way to make her feel better. "Kailor, Im not meaning to make you upset. I just dont want you to feel uncomfortable."

Kal's heart sank. "No," he whispered. "I was in a nice house, and I heard splashing and a baby laughing in the bathroom. I went inside and you were there, in the tub, holding a child. Our child. You were happy to see me, and I don't want anything else but that future."

Saige followed him and sat down beside him. She looked over at the crystal ball, watching June and Kal.

Kailor rolled her eyes and didn't reply. She folded her arms, watching the crystal ball, wishing they would just hurry up.

June paused as she saw the fox waiting for them with the orb which the bird dove into and disappeared. She looked at Kal sadly and released a sigh. "Well obviously you missed the part where that would be a nightmare because, trust me, living with me would be a complete nightmare for you. I dont know if you've noticed but im kind of a brat and im not very nice to you. You should just go back to your cute little dates with saige and try not to eat her."

"I don't want to be with Saige. I want to be with you. I don't care how long it takes to win you over." He went over to the fox, frowning as the bird went into the orb. He stretched out a hand and poke it, frowning.
