June quickly grabbed his arm to stop him, not bothering to hide her face as she looked at him desperately. "You cant, Kal. You... We have to get out of here. It just wants to suck all of the magic out of you until you have nothing left and are just a human. Is that what you want?"

The bird chirped happily at her touch before flying out of the room and landing on the ground, waiting for her to follow.

Ricky blearily heard his name but kept going. He was done with the tricks. He groaned in pain as he felt his body try to shift to human form but he forced himself to remain a demon as he collapsed on the ground just as Saige rounded the corner to where he was.

Circe grinned over at Jace. "About time. Care to watch the others as we wait?"

Alex appeared beside Jace a moment later and looked around confused. He felt fine again, no longer worn out from using magic. "Are we out?" He asked, watching confused as Circe nodded happily.

Kal bit his lip. "No." He took her hand, pulling her away from the fox. "Leave us alone," he snarled at the fox, gripping June's hand like it was a life support.

Kailor followed the bird slowly, wrapping her arms around herself.

Saige rushed over to him. "Ricky!" She wrapped her arms around her, sobbing. "Ricky Ricky Ricky Ricky. Look at me. Look at me."

Jace grinned at Alex, but held himself back from hugging him. He sat down beside Circe, relieved that they were out.

The fox sighed. "Well ok then. The offer will still stand though." June glared at the fox but pulled Kal off quickly before he could reconsider and resumed hiding her face, not wanting him to see how normal she looked.

The bird led her back to where the fox was with the orb. Before the fox could attack the bird down at the orb and disappeared as soon as it touched it. The fox rolled its eyes. "I will never understand how birds can be so stupid."

RIcky looked up at her weakly as his body kept shifting between forms and his vision went dark at the edges. He growled weakly at the sight of her and tried to push her away, thinking she was just another trick. "Go away. Im done with your games!"

ALex followed Jace hesitantly, not entirely trusting they were out, but at the sight of the food he felt hunger ache at him and he sat down, beginning to eat.

Circe giggled at the boys before returning her focus to the crystal ball. "So are you guys ok?"

Kal followed, then stopped walking after a few moments, bringing her to a halt. "June..."

Kailor frowned, watching where the bird had gone. She narrowed her eyes, going forward and touching the orb.

"Ricky, I'm real. I'm real. It's Saige." She held him close, trying not to cry as she saw how weak he was. "Ricky, I'm real," she whispered. "I'm here to help you. Circe got me here."

Jace began to eat, too, feeling starving. "I'm okay," he muttered, drinking a glass of water.

June stopped walking but kept her face hidden and turned away from him. "Im not letting you make that deal. We are all getting out of here. Got it?" She snapped at him, her grip on his hand tightening. "And dont you dare throw what I said at that stupid door in my face. We all said some dumb stuff but if you ever bring it up Ill drown you."

Kailor suddenly appeared in the dining hall with the others, all of her strength returning from using her magic.

Ricky hesitated as he felt her holding onto him. Her scent filled his nose, being sweet and familiar. He allowed himself to shift human before wrapping his arms tightly around her and pulling her close as he closed his eyes. "You were dead..."

Circe smiled as she watched the two guys eat but focused on where she could Kal and June, unaware that Kailor had finally made it. "I hope the others hurry up. Im ready to leave."

"I'm not going to make that deal, okay? I just... we need to talk." He winced guiltily. "I'm sorry about that. I..." He held on to her hand, chewing on his lip. "I'm sorry about everything. But I have to ask. When I told you I loved you, why did you react like that?"

Saige leaned against him, closing her eyes. "I wasn't. The fox just made it seem like I was. I could see and hear everything, but I couldn't move or speak. I was fine, though. I felt fine." She held him close, breathing in his scent.



Kailor sighed in relief, collapsing on the floor. "I'll second that," she said tiredly. "I really want to get out of here."

June quickly snatched her hand away from as soon as the question left his lips. "Lets just keep going. We have to be close by now." She muttered before beginning to walk again.

Ricky released a shaky breath. He felt an embarrassed blush creep up the back of his neck but he tried to ignore it, too tired to focus on anything for more than a few minutes. "We need to get out of here."

Circe looked over and when she saw Kailor on the ground she quickly ran over and tried to help her up. "O my gosh Kailor. Are you hurt? If you are it isnt real. its all just an illusion. Youre ok." She said quickly, looking her over for any injury she may have sustained.

Kal stomach dropped. He had messed up again. He followed her, sighing heavily. He shoved his hands into his pockets, lost in thought.

Saige nodded. "I know how to get out." She stood up and tried to help Ricky up on his feet.

Kailor blushed, pulling away. "I'm fine," she mumbled, looking away.

June crossed her arms across her chest as they walked but eventually the words swirling in her head burst out of her sharply. "What did you mean when you said that?"

Ricky groaned as she pulled him up and hung onto her to remain standing. "Are we close to the exit?" he asked blearily, feeling confused.

Circe backed away from her, looking at her as she worried she did something wrong. "ok... Im sorry. I um... I should go get Kal and June out." She turned away and went back to the table quickly as she began to cast a spell to send the bird to them.

"Mean when I said....that I didn't love all of my friends?" he asked, confused. He didn't want to say anything to upset her further.

"Yes." She took a small step forward, her arms around Ricky. "Come on," she said softly.

Kailor felt bad immediately. She went over to the table slowly, biting her lip. She sat down beside Circe, leaning against her slightly, her head down.
