Lightheart sighed heavily but nodded, giving Chickenpoppy a smile. “You’re right. I’ll help later.”

She felt eyes on her and turned to look at Nimblestar curiously. She wondered what he was thinking.

There was a pause in chatter before Chickenpoppy finally retrieved something from the snow, holding up a small bunch of comfrey root proudly. He was quick to move again towards Lightheart, his paws sinking into the snow as he reached some deeper spots.

Lightheart smiled as he approached. “Found some?” Her voice made her eagerness for relief clear.

"Yup yup yip!" He said as he spat them on the snow next to her, He let her look at them for a moment, laying a paw on them before saying. "These are comfrey root, the plants have big leaves and little purple flowers when it's... uh, not winter, but they usually grow abundantly around this stream."

He flicked his head towards a frozen stream across from them, then picked them up and began to chew them, as Blizzardstripe and Nimblestar joined them to rest for a second.

Lightheart pictured the stream surrounded by purple flowers and green grass. “It sounds beautiful.”
She then noticed he was chewing them. “Want some help?” She asked, eager to be useful.

Chickenpoppy nodded slightly and pushed the last few towards her, then spit out the bunch he'd chews and clumped it gently in the snow. "Yes! You chew this then apply it to the burn... it would have been better if I'd gotten to you sooner, but I think it'll still help!"

"Anything else your missing?" Nimblestar asked Chickenpoppy.

"You can try and find more comfrey for now." He replied.

“It will still help. Thank you.” Lightheart smiled at Chickenpoppy and began to chew the plant. She was eager to get it onto her leg.

Chickenpoppy lay down for a few minutes as he watched the others dig and while Lightheart chewed, shivering as the snow met his pelt and a cold, chilling breeze past them. It was both relaxing and not-relaxing, being out in the snow.

After this he sat up again, noticing Nimblestar and Blizzardstripe had retrieved a few more roots.

"That's good enough, we should leave the others to grow back." Chickenpoppy meowed, sitting up and taking the part he had chewed over his paw. "Now I just rub it on, ya done chewing that? Do you have any other burns?"

Lightheart spit out the plant. “I’m all done. I have a few minor ones here and there but my leg is the only thing truly injured.” She paused. “I had to run through a flame.” She explained,her voice soft.

"I see... well, I can add some to those as well, just in case... let me see your leg." Chickenpoppy meowed, waiting for her to stretch it out while Blizzardstripe and Nimblestar moved closer. The cats tended to stay closer together when it got cold, and so they waited around them as Chickenpoppy worked.
