"Well, you will get to see things that you would have never gotten to had you stayed. There is a whole world out here. It can be scary, but there are a lot of things worth experiencing. I wouldn't be too worried about danger, because Tiny is even stronger than he looks. I am still recovering from the demonstration," he said lightly. "He is learning just as much as you are. So you aren't alone in that regard."

She looked over at Phleg sleeping and smiled, "I suppose you're right." it made her feel better realizing she wasn't the only one in the dark. She turned her attention back to Basil, "You know, I wish Seraphine could see this side of you. Maybe then she could learn to warm up to you."

Rolling his eyes he laid back onto the floor, putting his arms back behind his head. "We don't exactly have reasons to like one another. I don't have reason to like anyone for that matter."

Her smiled disappeared as she stood up, "Oh, well, you have a right to feel that way." she quietly crawled back in the bed, "but like someone once told me, 'why not hope for the best?' she said as she closed her eyes and eventually drifted off to sleep.

Waking up once again, Basil gauged that it was about time to start moving. Sitting up he gently arched his back, cautious of his still-sore ribs, and it popped with a satisfying crack. Nudging Phleg, he got to his feet. "We need to get going, he whispered. The Celestial roused himself and began to rub his eyes and stretch. A lot of snow had fallen outside, but for the moment it at least look like it had stopped. Basil snuck around to make sure that no one was out in the early hour before deciding it was safe to leave.

When he walked back into the room he saw that Phleg had woke Seraphine to tell her they were leaving. "I am going to cut around the village to get to the other side of the road. I don't want to risk any early birds seeing us. We will watch for you two," Basil said hurriedly, ready to get moving before the thought of the cold became too uninviting.

Seraphine nodded her head and looked to Phleg, "Be careful, we shouldn't take any longer than an hour." She watched as they left the room. After a few minutes she woke Ulicia up. "It's time to get going." without saying much Ulicia got up and followed Seraphine sheeply around the village. As they walked from shop to shop, Ulicia noticed eyes on her.

"Why do they keep looking at me funny?"

"Hmm? Oh, it's probably your clothes, nobody has ever seen an outfit like that."

"Oh, I see."

"Don't worry, if anyone asks, I'll tell them its just some new winter fashion from the capitol."

"Alright" Ulicia continued to observe the people as they shopped. Their attitudes and behaviors were much different from the people of her clan. These people only seemed interested in money. A few seemed to generally care. When they were finished grabbing all the supplies and new clothes for Phleg, they headed for the road.

Seraphine kept her eye out for the other two as they walked, not wanting to seem suspicious. They didn't get too far out of town before Gnash had his head up in the air sniffing and running off the road.

Phleg greeted Gnash as he found them in the nook that they were leaning in, both to stay out of sight, and to avoid the windchill. Scratching behind the dog's ears he smiled as he peered out to Seraphine and Ulicia. Basil slid out from behind him.

"Finally. I thought you would never get here," he said, rubbing his arms. "If I sit here for too much longer I am going to freeze to the spot."

Seraphine scowled, "You know, I think I grabbed the wrong size for you, let me go back into town and grab the proper size. You don't mind standing there a little longer do you?" she said to Basil while handing Phleg his new clothes. "Hopefully these are enough to keep you warm and keep you disguised for the most part." While she did said that, Ulicia walked over to Basil and handed him his new winter jacket and an apple.

Ignoring Seraphine, Basil thanked Ulicia, immediately putting on the jacket. He then took the apple and bit into it, the cold making his teeth ache. "We have a long and hopefully boring few days of travel ahead of us," he said, watching Phleg struggle to put his clothes on. "I am hoping this weather doesn't delay us too much."

"I guess we better get moving then. Lead the way." she gestured for Basil to start walking. Then began following behind.
