❝Oh?❞ Rhys raised an eyebrow. Zer0 wasn’t completely healed, so the idea of him immediately going after the assassin didn’t sit well with him. He steps closer to Zer0, his hand sliding over his shoulder as he speaks.

❝I know I can’t stop you. Am I invited on this adventure, though?❞ He asks, hoping that Zer0 would say yeah. He hadn’t been out of Atlas in a while, as he had been watching over Zer0. He would like to adventure, even if it was going after the assassin who was currently trying to kill adjust.

Plus, seeing that Zer0 was okay would ease his anxiety while the ninja was gone.

Zero rose a brow at the response/reaction. Was Rhys trying to be flirty with his safety? He gave a playful roll of his shoulders after Rhys finished trailing his hands, a dim \\\\ showing on his helmet as he watched rhys before gesturing to warrior, who was currently chewing on a metal pipe, silently questioning if Rhys was going to be bringing 'Buddy' with them. He might consider bringing rhys if warrior went too because the Rhys would have an extra layer of protection.

Rhys looked over at ‘Buddy’, an eyebrow raising as he watched the beast chew on the metal pipe. He would love to bring Warrior, though he was scared that the beast would be injured. He rubbed his hands together before crouching beside Zer0, patting his legs as if he was encouraging a dog to come to him. ❝Come here, Buddy!❞ Rhys called out to it, almost baby-talking the beast.

❝D’you wanna come on an adventure with dad? Do you?❞ He began to tease, patting Warrior with his mechanical hand. A grin was spread across his face as he watched the dog-like creature.

Zero watched as buddy dropped the pipe and quickly went clattering over to Rhys, panting and shrieking a bit in obvious excitement at the moment. When questioned if they wanted to leave the building, Warrior got four times more excited, tail lashing in an over excited wag and shrieking even more in excitement as they bounced about, their rock like wings spreading out and flapping rapidly as they stumbled about on their back feet. Guess that answered that question.

Zero was already devising a plan/idea. That soft spot on warriors chest would obviously be an issue. Gaige was a smart girl... Mmmm... Maybe if she didn't go absolutely crazy over them having a tiny warrior, she might be able to make some kind of protective armor to cover their critical spots. Which meant sneaking warrior into Sanctuary or bringing Gaige to atlas and... Pump the brakes Did Rhys just say 'dad'. "I'm not a parent / I did not agree to this / who're you calling 'Dad'?" He stated instantly with a vague gesture.

Rhys laughed at Warrior’s excitement, continuing with the baby talk. ❝Yeah, you want to adventure with dad? Do you? Do you?❞ He continued patting Warrior until Zer0 cut him off, questioning who was ‘dad’ in this situation. He looked up, and stood, an embarrassed blush spreading across his face. ❝You don’t have to be dad. Dad is me. But I adopted our buddy here, didn’t I? So I’m dad.❞ He looked down at Warrior, grinning. His smile disappeared shortly after, and he crossed his arms, looking at Zer0 with a fake hurt expression. ❝I thought it was our child. Are you forcing me to be a single parent? Low blow, Zer0. I didn’t consider you the type.❞

Zero just made a vague gesture before bringing a hand up to the front of his helmet and shaking his head greatly as warrior continued to pant and give a variety of excited noises at the moment. Even as Rhys stated that since rhys adopted the beast he was 'dad' he still continued to tease and state something about a single parent. On a technicality, Zero didn't even remember having parents which might be a cultural thing to his species. "Culture darling." Zero stated playfully in response before heading towards the door.

❝Culture smulture❞ Rhys said, brushing off with a hand motion. He followed Zer0 to the door, motioning Warrior to follow, and then he slipped his arm around Zer0’s and held onto it. He liked adventuring with Zer0, but he couldn’t help and worry. What if he got hurt? Rhys was bad at fighting, all he used was his stun baton; what if they got into another weird situation, like when Jack was about to kill Zer0?

Rhys let out a quiet sigh, looking up at Zer0 momentarily. ❝When we were fighting Jack, he destroyed your echo device and said that if you died, you couldn’t come back.❞ He glanced away. He was a little confused as to how someone could die and then come back, but he assumed it was a vault hunter thing. ❝You got it fixed, right? Like... You won’t die?❞

"New U Station." Zero stated easily when Rhys seemed to sound questioning over such. "And yes." He stated. He'd gotten a new Echo and gotten it connected to the usual things. A soft hum escaping him in thought. They hould get Rhys registered to the stations, then this wouldn't have to be such a big issue. He rubbed his 'chin' in thought a set of ...'s forming on his helmet as he thought about this.

Warrior/Buddy bounced and galloped after Rhys excitedly, panting and huffing in excitement as it soon trotted beside the man. The Eridium beast obviously excited to go outside, leave the building for a bit and possibly chase around some of the other creatures of pandora.

❝Well... That’s good.❞ Rhys didn’t know how any of that stuff worked, but decided to not question it. Vault hunters were weird, aliens or not, and it was best to just let them do their own things and not ask questions about it. Rhys rolled his shoulders, and looked over at Warrior bouncing around on the ground. When he looked back over at Zer0, his eyebrows raised at the ‘...’ displayed on his helmet. Was Zer0 thinking about something? He fought the urge to ask what it was, looking away, until the curiosity won the battle. ❝What’s on your mind, Zer0?❞ He asked.

Death was something Rhys didn’t like to talk about; death made him nauseous. Seeing people dead, killing people, all that stuff... it was too much for him. Even when Vasquez died, Rhys felt sick, like it was his fault. Even if he couldn’t have stopped him from dying, because it would’ve happened eventually — at Rhys’ hands or not — he would think about the man and regret that it ended the way it did.

Maybe Rhys needed to swallow his feelings and put on a thicker skin.

"Should register you / As a precautionary idea / just in case i'm late." Zero stated once Rhys asked what he was thinking about. "Not hard. Quite simple. Relatively quick." He concluded after a brief moment as well, just so Rhys knew that it was completely safe, optional and only as a last resort. He also wouldn't have to do it if he didn't want to. Zero couldn't actually remember when he'd registered his own DNA. Maybe it was some kind of automated thing from when Clap-trap first gave them all their Echo's. It had to be. Because it annoyed jack and made him complain about building/inventing the stations. He briefly pulled out his new echo and looked it over, on habit mostly.
