Rhys slipped his hand underneath Zer0’s legs and slings his arm under his shoulder and lifts him up and onto the bed, trying to avoid hurting him further. He tucked him into the sheets and looked over at Warrior, walking over and kneeling by him.

❝No jumping on the bed.❞ He commanded, motioning to the bed and then making a ‘no’ motion with his finger. ❝And no burning things!❞

He turned back to look at Zer0. ❝Do you want your helmet?❞

Warrior tilted there head, even lifting a paw and giving a sort of whining noise in response to the command.

Zero made a noise when he was lifted in such a manner, but didn't fight it, merely let it happen. As he was laid in the bed and practically tucked in, he didn't fight it really and nodded when asked if he wanted his helmet. The lighting was starting to strain his eye sight anyways, thus another reason why he wore it, but at least Rhys wasn't freaking out as badly as when he saw his wings.

Rhys nodded, retrieving the helmet from wherever it laid and returning it to Zer0. He put it in his hands before moving to kiss his real forehead, before moving away.

❝Hey good looking, funny seeing you here.❞ He began to tease, before walking over to the burnt remnants of his chair and began to push it into one big pile with his foot.

Warrior watched as rhys swept up the bits with their foot, tilting their head and whining a bit before rushing over and stomping their feet, as if trying to help but in all honesty, they just scattered the mess everywere again. But at least they tried.

A blush was quick to rise onto zero's cheeks, darkening his already lavender colored skin both at the kiss and the teasing as he moved to slip on his helmet, mumbling playfully. The \\\\ emoticon even lighting up the moment his helmet was secure on his head. He watched Rhys push ash and other chair remnants around into a pile with his foot, quite content at the moment. This was relatively nice despite what lead up to it. He even waited until Rhys finished and came over again to briefly unsecure his helmet, tip it back and lay a soft peck of a kiss on Rhys' cheek.

"its funny indeed / it being your place of stay / its rather dusty." He teased in return, a basic way of saying that zero seemed to be gaining more use out of the room then rhys was these past few days.

Rhys groaned when Warrior stomped on the mess and sent ashes flying. He shook his head, putting a hand over his face for a few moments before leaving for a few moments. He returned with a broom, brushing the ashy remnants together and dumping them into a nearby trash can.

He brushed off his hands, looking down at the Warrior for a few moments before reaching over to pat it. He went back over to Zer0, and a blush spread across his cheeks when he gave him a kiss on the cheek. ❝Theres not much to do in here except sleep.❞

Warrior wagged their tail, panting happily as they paced side to side a bit before finally sitting down and just watching the two for now.

Zero seemed quite pleased with the reaction, now they were both effectively embarrassed. Thought when Rhys stated there wasn't much to do in here, he gestured to the burnt and chewed on remains of the book he had been reading. "We had found some books / But the selection is sparse / they thought it a toy." He concluded with a soft sigh, thought the sigh was a bit playful so Rhys wouldn't feel bad or anything. Rhys wasn't bed ridden practically, and if the medical personal had known he'd been moving around, they'd probably blow a gasket.

❝Maybe we should get it some actual toys. Maybe one of Jack’s arms,❞ Rhys joked, sitting on the side of the bed. He watched Warrior as they paced back and forth before sitting down, and he looked over at Zer0 with a small smile.

He was thankful that Zer0 had allowed him to keep Warrior. He had felt bad if he just left it at the vault; it was a baby, and it’s probably got lonely down there! He began to wonder if it being a baby meant that there was a momma nearby, searching for her lost child, that was laying in the Atlas building...

He shrugged it off, looking over at Zer0. ❝You must get bored easily though, right? Since you have an exciting life? We’ll figure out something to do.❞

Warrior soon seems to give a pouty sort o noise and lays down, huffing and spittling a bit of lava like drool onto the floor.

Zero shrugged as best he could in response. His life still seemed plenty exciting right now just from the few short days he's spent with rhys. From two assassination attempts to this jack crap to now having a runt of a warrior running around. Thought that did have Zero thinking. If this one was runty and no longer in the vault, did another one spawn? Could it be looking for the runty one now meaning it left the vault too? Not to mention Zero had to be careful for a while. Jack destroyed his echo, meaning he had no connection to the digi-spawners scattered across pandora, meaning he could very well die and not be reconstructed. That wasn't going to be fun one little bit.

Rhys let out a quiet hum and crawled to the free side of the bed, laying down beside Zer0. He pushed his hair back and watched as Warrior drooled onto the floor, raising an eyebrow. He looked back at Zer0 and rested his head against his helmet. When his eyes closed, he thought of the fight from earlier, and then to Helios, and—

Rhys sighed, opening his eyes and getting tense. Was he never going to be able to close his eyes? To try and think without those memories plaguing him? Maybe it’d eventually get better — the fight with Jack was fresh, and he didn’t expect those to go away anytime soon, but remembering Helios was a bit much for him. Maybe hearing Jack’s voice triggered it for him.

He rolled his shoulders, lifting his head and looking up at the ceiling, now quiet as he was deep in thought.

Zero looked at rhys when he crawled onto the bed, letting him settle first before reaching a hand over to first rest it between rhys shoulderblades, then ever so gently pull/drag him closer so to put his other arm around Rhys. Once he had a hold of the other with both arms, the one behind his back began to lightly card through his fluffy brown strands. "Your tense." zero mumbled in observation while a bright red ? formed on the front of his mask.

It was probably because of jack and his own similar reasons. Being forced to remember such horrible things after all. He wondered what memories jack triggered in Rhys' mind, wondered what horrible things plagued the poor human. He didn't want to ask, rhys would share on his own in time after all, and if Rhys asked zero what jack made him remember, he'd tell him. Tell him everything, just so rhys understood why jack thought so poorly of them, and so Rhys understood why they /had/ to kill jack. Just so rhys could understand why both parties couldn't put their differences behind them.

Just so rhys could understand he wasn't heartless. Or ruthless. It was just all a part of a mission that provided the biggest challenge to zero, but also the most heart wrenching. Because zero developed friends and a practical family that was all ripped away from them until everyone was driven to the point of thoughtless revenge against a man they hadn't begun to understand in the first place. A man who was only trying to make things better for the people he cared about but just doing it all wrong that ultimately drove him mad and got him killed.
