Rhys' eyes flutter open to watch Zer0 adjust, watching as he curled against him. He leaned forward to give the top of his helmet a kiss before closing his eyes again, and falling asleep shortly after. Having Zer0 by him was something Rhys never expected to happen, but he was grateful anyways.

Despite falling asleep holding onto Zer0, his dreams were plagued with nightmares. It was two scene's that kept on repeat; Zer0 being stabbed, and Jack dying. He shifted closer to Zer0, if it was even possible, trying to rid the memories from his dreams by reminding himself that Zer0 was here.

Zero tightened his hold on Rhys a bit when he shifted so to hold the other close and comfort him. A bright red \\\ displaying on his helmet from the kiss, greatly flustered, thought his was more hidden due to his helmet. His sleep would be light due to his still alerted state, from his injuries to what had happened earlier to rhys still being in distress at the moment, multiple things keeping him from finding complete sleep.

When Rhys wakes up, he's not too sure how much time has passed, but Zer0 is still in his arms and he lets out an amused hum, snuggling into him for a few more seconds. His eyes close as he starts to get tired once more, before he realises he should get up and he lets out a quiet sigh, eyes opening as he begins untangling himself from Zer0's arms. He slides off the bed carefully, trying not to wake him as he got a change of clothes and slipped into the bathroom, changing in there and throwing the dirty clothes into a laundry basket.

He fixes his messy hair and puts his fingers up to his cheek, running them over the stitches before his hand drops back to his side. He stares into the mirror for a little bit longer, thinking about the day. About Zer0, and about Jack. His eyes were still bloodshot.

Rhys pushes himself off the counter and leaves the bathroom, peeking over at Zer0 to make sure he was still asleep, and glancing down at Warrior. He exits the room after, leaving to go to his office.

its about when the door opens and closes with Rhys leaving the room, Zero's hnd is moving and lightly patting the bed to locate where Rhys had gone, as if he'd rolled away. When he doesnt locate rhys, he finally lifts his head off the bed, looking around the room quietly. But Rhys isnt in the room at the moment and Warriors standing infront of the door whining. Rhys must of gone back to his office, which is fine in a way.

If anything went wrong, it was a short distance zero could make. So Zero just rolls onto his back and stares at the cieling. He's there for a few moments before he carefully gets off the bed and moves (more of shuffles) across the room towards a small shelf. Its got a very sparse selection of hard copied books on it ad Zero selects one that isn't familiar before returning to the bed. He manages to get himself comfortable on the bed, pops off his helmet to make it easier to read because he's sure no ones going to come in unless its rhys and lays there.

It doesn't take long before he has what feels like a hundred pound beast in his lap that makes the bed/space border between comfortably warm and uncomfortably warm as warrior lays in his lap now. He didn' ask for this.

Rhys went to the cafeteria first, getting coffee and food before going to his office. He laid back in his chair, munching down on the snacks he got and typing on his computer. His mind momentarily went to the Warrior he had in his room, wondering if it ate food. Then he began to wonder if his room was currently on fire, since he wasn’t sure if Zer0 was awake and watching the beast or not. He shrugged and continued eating, assuming that he’d find out if the room was on fire eventually.

He left his office eventually, travelling around to attend meetings that he should’ve been at days ago (he was busy, okay?) and check up on people that should’ve been checked up on weeks ago. Thankfully, everything seemed to be working itself out.

If Rhys didn’t have an assassin after them, he’d actually consider everything to be going relatively okay at the moment. Unless the assassin knew that Jack was dead, but he assumed they didn’t. He’d have to wait and see.

He went back into his office after hours of meetings after meetings, check ups after check ups and groaned, suddenly remembering why he had been putting all of this off. Because it sucked.

Zero isn't sure if nearly setting the bed on fire is one of those things that counts as taking it back to the vault. But thats not all. Warrior ate his book too and set a chair on fire by using it as a means of relieving itself. So theres burnt book pages everywere, the sheets are ripped off the bed and on the floor smoldering and all that remains of the chair is the leg warrior is currently chewing on.

Zero decides its just best to lay on the floor right now, because he's in to much pain to move right now and if he stays on the floor, warrior will lay next to him and stay off the bed. He's regretting so many things right now and heavily wishes he had a few health packs in his holo bag, but he unfortunately doesn't. So he has to go through the process of healing naturally.

Rhys head is in his hands as he tries to get rid of his headache, and when he closes his eyes, all he can see is blood and suddenly, he’s back in the vault, Zer0’s getting stabbed and Rhys is screaming —

He opens his eyes and pushes his chair back, heart in throat. Anxiety rushes through him as his mind tries convincing him that Zer0 is still hurt, still unconscious, and despite Rhys trying to convince himself otherwise he’s already down the hallway. He stops at the door, coming to his senses and standing with his hand reaching for the door. He jerks back, eyes wide.

He turns to look at people staring at him, and chews on his lip before reeling away from the door, walking back to his office. His anxiety is tugging at his sleeve, telling him to turn back and check, and that Zer0 will die if he doesn’t.

He reaches his office and falls back into his seat, hands shaking as he reaches for the keyboard. For a second, he thinks the computer screen is glitching and his hands fly back, knocking over the coffee cup. It fell onto the ground, and Rhys let out a sigh of relief when he noticed it was empty.

He ran his hands through his hair and looked at the ceiling, unsure of how to cope. Eventually, he got up and walked to his room. He remembered when he walked in on Zer0, when his wings were out, and instead of barging in he knocked. ❝Zer0?❞

Zero looks towards the door when he hears Rhys voice, his helmets across the room thanks to warrior playing with it. He doesn't want to bother getting it right now as warrior stands over him (more like on his chest) with the chair leg, trying to entice Zero to play with them before Warrior looks to the door. Suddenly Zero's a spring board as Warrior uses zero's injured chest to launch towards the door with muffled noises, jumping, hopping and clawing at the door while howling around the stick in their mouth.

Zero just rolls onto his side and curls up in pain, regretting his decision to lay on the floor even more then the decision to let the beast lay on the bed. "Still here." Zero rasped as loudly as possible, finally reaching up to grasp the end of the bed and try to haul himself up onto his knees.

Rhys’ anxiety only got worse when he heard Zer0 rasp. ❝I’m coming in.❞ He informs Zer0, opening the door. He’s greeted with Warrior jumping around with... is that a chair leg? Rhys glances around the room, mouth agape. His chair has been melted, though it’s an easy replacement, and there seemed to be a burnt book on the floor with paper scattered throughout the room. He looked down at Warrior, crossing his arms with an amused smile.

❝Did you do this, you silly thing? Did you?❞ He teased, and reached over to pet the Warrior with his mechanic arm. He took the chair leg from its mouth and waved it around a bit, before shouting ❝fetch!❞ and throwing it across the room.

❝Are you alright? Why are you on the floor?❞ Rhys questioned immediately, walking over to Zer0. ❝Stop moving, you’ll hurt yourself.❞ He began to scold, and ran his hand over the bed. It was starting to cool down, and he glanced down at Zer0. ❝Do you want to go on the bed? I don’t think the floor is very comfortable.❞

Warrior chased after the chair leg instantly, momentarily losing sight of it, but quickly finding it once again and turning, running back over to Rhys with wagging tail.

"We were on the bed / Then your pet decided play / The floor was much safer." Zero grumbled as he just sat on the floor now, leaning against the bed as he looked at Rhys. When asked if he was trying to get back on the bed he nodded easily, because obviously the bed was much more comfortable then the floor, but obviously he couldn't enjoy the bed with warrior in the room. It already set the sheets on fire once.
