Rhys can agree with that, at least. He never expected Zer0 to do this either. There’s a surge of affection in his stomach that slowly moves to his chest, making his fingers curl and his eyes go between the two. "Jack, I thought you were dead. I was worried about you, alright? Just... A little warning next time, please." He states, and then looks at Zer0. He crosses his arms. “Hey, Zer0, can we talk outside?” Though his arms are crossed, there’s a certain softness to his tone as he watches the assassin.

Zero raises an unseen brow but sets the tools he's working with before standing. Once on his feet, he moved to the door, wondering what Rhys needed with him right at that moment.

Rhys steps back into the empty room across from them, and stares at Zer0 for a few seconds, unsure of how to start this. The overwhelming urge to hug Zer0 wins though, and he's quick to pull the assassin into a tight hug. “I didn't want to believe what you said about Buddy, and...” His voice is muffled until he moves his face sideways, letting him breathe. He continues shakily. "It wasn't fair of me to get mad at you and, and run off like that. It was really stupid, actually. If you had left me behind, and left me in there to die, I - I wouldn't have blamed you." His arms slowly release Zer0, and he steps back. His flesh hand moves to rub the back of his neck. "But you didn't, and you came in and saved me and even brought me to Zed to patch me up, even though I yelled at you and..." Rhys crosses his arms. "It wasn't fair of me to freak out at you. I'm just... I'm trying to say I'm sorry. And thank you. For everything, because I don't... I don't think I deserve someone like you."

Zero looks a bit surprised when Rhys suddenly hugged him, but as rhys spoke, began to relax, even loosely wrapping his arms around Rhys in a comforting manner. He lifted a hand to gently pet the top of Rhys head to help him settle down before Rhys pulled away. "Action all around / easy to get lost in it / No apology needed." He answered while a smiley face popped up on his face plate so to further reassure Rhys.

Rhys smiles a little at that, plus the patting was weirdly comforting. He nods to Zer0's words, then puts his hands together nervously. “Cool, great, awesome. So, uh, this is... Unexpected, though. I thought you didn't like Jack?” He asks, and glances back at the room Jack is located in, then back to Zer0. "Unless you do like Jack and I've been... Out of the loop, but you always seem like you wanna die around him, but you've been really nice to him recently. Getting him Caramel, tracking him down... Uh, repairing him." He lists, then stands there awkwardly before finally moving on. "And you stole Zed's... Power thing, out of his vending machine. He wants it back."

"But you don't hate him / You declare him family / Upset in the end." Zero stated when Rhys asked why he was helping jack. He was doing it for rhys, not for jack after all. He wasn't going to have Rhys wallowing in self pity/depression because jack was an idiot after all. So, he took matters into his own hands, and it seemed to be working over rather well.

Rhys blinks a few times, and then his hand moves to rub the back of his neck. "Jack... Family... Ahaha, right... Yeah. If you tell him I said that, I'll never hear the last of it, so... That's between us." He pauses before leaning forward, onto his tiptoes, to kiss the side of Zer0's helmet. "You're right though. Thank you. I really don't deserve you." He moves back to take Zer0's hands. "I guess the secret of him being alive is out, though. Did you explain it to the other vault hunters before they left? I... I would really rather not have them upset with us about it."

Zero shook his head, merely making a gesture to buddy since Buddy had gotten the vault beast had gotten everyone to leave way before he got started on fixing the AI. His fingers curling around Rhy's hand contently when they took it, humming contently at the moment as well while looking back into the room to watch jack distract buddy currently.

Rhys sighs. "Well, maybe when we get the opportunity. For now, I guess we should focus on fixing Jack. I guess this also gives us the opportunity to fix his coding so he doesn't freak out at us anymore." His thumb brushes over Zer0's hand, and he offers them a smile. "You're a miracle worker, though. If anyone can explain this, it'll be you. Mostly because you know those people better than I do." His eyes wander to Buddy and Jack. "...And Buddy. Are they okay? They seem normal enough, but... If Timothy is still out there, he'll probably come after Buddy again. So I guess we'll have to get that armor back on. Upgrade it, even."

"His armor damaged / He seems sensitive to touch too / Little precautions too." Zero answered with the faintest shrugs of his shoulders at he looked at Rhys once more, tightening his grip ever so slightly as well so to keep rhys as calm as possible at the moment. He really should get Rhys a shower, he looked so... unkempt, and he knew Rhys took his appearance seriously.
