Rhys inhales sharply. Right, okay, Jack knew and he wasn’t being subtle about it at all. At least they had instructions now — but they’d be ready for them, and wouldn’t back down easily. Timothy is about as bad as the real Handsome Jack it seemed. "They’ll be expecting us." He says as he begins to follow Axton, still keeping up the interface. They needed eyes on the inside, which would be Jack. He inhales sharply when Jack begins to glitch, and makes a reminder to maybe let Jack kill this guy instead of him. A proper form of revenge. “How are we gonna get in there without being immediately shot?”

Zero tilts his head a bit before pulling a grenade from his belt. Throw it through the hatch, clear the area, no problem! Axton's coming back pretty quickly. "Looks like a lot of the workers ditched. Lucky for us huh?" He mused with a smirk as Zero just rolled his eyes before looking at the interface, timothy pacong and ranting again on how jack was lucky to still be alive.

Rhys looks at Zer0’s grenade, then back to Axton. He immediately pauses. Though the idea of just clearing them out via grenade sounded easy and simple enough, something felt wrong. Something felt like... This was too easy. “Why would they clear the area?” He questions, moving to where Axton came back from. “Doesnt this seem really suspicious to you? I mean, they’re supposed to be after us. Not just... vacating the area.” He looks at the interface. Timothy’s ranting makes his anger flare back up, and he seems to forget his worries. “You know what? Let’s just go. 93227.” He recites, putting in the numbers for the access code.

Zero shrugs a bit before following after the two for a few moments, then slowing down a bit. What if this was like bloodwing? Zero's moving quickly to get to the front and stop them. Axton popped a brow at this. "Zee, whats up?" Axton questioned even as Zero gestured to his rifle. Axton cocked his head to the side a bit in thought. Zero got penetrator after helping mordecai with a mission to help a sick talon and -Oh. Axton shakes his head drastically. "They're retreating because that guy /knows/ and is planning on using buddy against us. Just like Bloodwing." Axton didn't sound happy and Zero didn't look happy. Thats why they used the aviary, thats why hyperion came here. This was all just to pour salt into a still sensitive wound.

Rhys looks between Zer0 and Axton. Bloodwing? His mind echoes, before reeling back and focusing on what they said. Planning to use Buddy against them. Rhys doesn't respond right away, standing in place as if he's frozen in time for at least a minute before declaring, “No. Buddy wouldn't hurt us. They love and trust us, more than anything; if anyone can get to them and talk them down, it'll be me. We're not leaving without them.” He begins to push past Zer0, only gripping his stun baton harder. He was lucky it couldn't snap. "We're saving Jack and Buddy and we're leaving. We're not having Buddy used against us, Jack isn't gonna do anything stupid, none of us are gonna die. We're getting out of here in one piece, all of us."

Zero looks at rhys. Mordecai believed the samething. He wish he didn't have to, but he reaches out and takes Rhys wrist, stopping him before bringing up his own holo-pad. He shows Rhys countless short clips of bloodwing and the team, how friendly and loving and protective the bird had been, just like buddy. Then a video of going through the preserve. All the different Pandorian fauna that were being used as slag experiments, quips from jack about how he was doing the same to bloodwing. Then actually getting to the aviary. The fight between the mutated bloodwing, driven mad from the slag experiments and all to her death via a bomb collar that jack had set off.

Hopefully the video would get Rhys to understand why himself and Axton were hesitant. They didn't want to see buddy get used in the same manner and be foolishly killed.

Rhys turns when he's grabbed, about to yell and pull away before his attention is caught by Zer0's holopad. He stops mid-pull, relaxing a little bit and allowing himself to watch as Zer0 shows him various clips. Suddenly, Rhys feels sick. He feels sick to the point where he's sure if he watches any longer, he'll throw up. So he closes his eyes halfway through and begins shaking his head, finally wiggling his wrist free of Zer0's grasp. "No, no, no! You -- You don't understand! I'm not leaving them, Zer0, because if we do then what happens?! They continue their experiments on them?! And what good does that make us, letting them? Watching as they slowly kill them?" There's an audible crack in Rhys' voice as a lump that certainly wasn't there before is making it harder for him to speak. His face feels like it's on fire as he begins to back up, further away from Zer0 and Axton. "We aren't abandoning them. I won't let us. And if you won't come with me, I'll just go alone!" Rhys is bad at running. He knows that, but he does it anyways, turning and breaking into a sprint down the hall.

Zero growled in annoyance when Rhys wasn't getting it, about to run after him when Axton stops him. This gets Zero to shout at Axton, start a small fight between the two, further distract zero from Rhys now.

Rhys looks back eventually, but Zer0 and Axton are already out of sight and Rhys is quite sure he's lost. So he wanders for a bit, and eventually finds maintenance hatch C, opening it up and getting inside. He looks around cautiously, unsure of what to expect, but decides to continue on. He should be under the aviary soon, as Jack had stated. He begins to walk, his face still burning but not as bad as before. Every creak he hears makes him jump and he's beginning to regret running off like that -- he was just caught up in the moment. There was no going back now, though, since Rhys would have to do the walk of shame and he was trying his best to stick by what he said. They weren't leaving without Jack -- who shouldn't be much further ahead.

Timothy is looking pretty pleased now that they've finished stripping the beast of the armor it wore and the vault beast was starting to awaken. A chuffing noise, spitting a bit of magma before finally getting to its massive talons and giving out a loud shriek of a yawn before shaking its head greatly, shaking away the lat bits of sleep. "Thats it warrior, wakie, wakie, we're about to have company." He hummed, looking at the holoprojector in hand. The AI's been quiet since he threw it into a wall. Hmm... He might of damaged it alittle. He shrugs that off and pockets it before opening his own interface, quick to activate his two digi-copies before turning to were the hatch was and merely waited.
