Rhys watches with anxiety after Jack finishes, waiting for Buddy to do something, anything. He lets out a breath he didn't know he was holding when Buddy begins to move, obviously already feeling better. A grin tugs across his lips and he begins to pat the vault beast. "How's my favourite Vault Beast feeling, Buddy? Much better, huh?" His voice dripping with baby talk and affection, he shakes it off to address Jack. "I... Jack." He seems to remember the conversation he had earlier with Zer0, and looks at his significant other with a fake smile. "Zer0, can you keep an eye on him and make sure he adjusts while I talk to Jack? Thank you, sweetheart." He doesn't really wait for Zer0 to answer before walking towards Jack, his arm catching Jack's and swiftly tugging him outside of the room.

"How'd you know that'd work?" He questions immediately after the door closes, releasing Jack and crossing his arms.

Annnnd he's being dragged away. Jack is forced to follow as Rhys drags him away to another room. Once outside the room and released, Jack adjusted his sleeves first. "Reesie, honey. I'm technically an A, that very rarely leaves the office you've assigned me nd never sleeps. I've got nothing but time to plan and plot things. Like what would of happened if i had given the Warrior armor that would of protected its critical spots. Heck, if you came by my office more often you'd of /seen/ the draft i'd been creating to form the armor as a pass time thing practically. So it was merely just scaling down the actual design to make sure it would fit." He retorted as he brushed himself down, then crossed his arms at his chest.

Rhys definitely doesn't like that answer, looking even more annoyed. "Okay, first of all, we've spoken about this. It's Rhys. Rhys. R-H-Y-S. Not Reesie, not Pumpkin, not kiddo. Rhys." He shakes his head in annoyance, and then places his hands on his hips. "Besides, plotting? What're you supposed to be plotting, Jack? Because you know, I thought we were working really well together. Zer0 even got you a cat and everything, and Zer0's supposed to hate you." He huffs. "So this whole... Plotting thing? Drawing out drafts of Buddy's armor? Seeming really suspicious here. You're gonna try something, aren't you?" He's getting a little accusatory now, pointing at Jack with his eyes narrowed. "Cause if I find out you're planning on harming him, or turning him into any kind of weapon..."

"He already is a weapon. Not to mention its more of a precausion thing. Your boyfriend isn't always going to be by your side, and i'm still having troubles taking down that bounty, which, might i add, three more assassins have picked up. Just be glad they haven't shown up yet. But that damage might of been from one that tried sneaking in and Buddy went at em. If i was plotting your death i wouldn't be telling you cupcake, i would of came up with a lie that would be so much more convincing then the actual truth." Jack responded with a shrug of his shoulders before setting one hand on his hip and the other hanging down.

Rhys doesn't even comment on Jack calling him cupcake, instead closing his eyes as he takes a deep breath to resist tackling the other. He runs his hand through his messy hair, trying to comb it out of his face because he could only imagine how hard it was to take him seriously with curly hair. "Buddy isn't here to be a weapon, he's here to be apart of our family. A pet. Which he is quite happy as, actually." Rhys brings up his mechanical hand. "If the wounds were from assassins, I can just check the security footage from last night and see what happened. Though I find it hard to believe Buddy fought off an assassin without waking me or Zer0 up." He says, tapping into the security footage.

"You also worked yourself for nearly twelve hours on designs and builds and Zero had to drag your sorry rump away from the desk after they'd spent several hours hunting down another target. Its called Exhaustion honey. And your walking yourself into these new nicknames." he stated, smirking a bit in amusement before shrugging alittle. "And even a pet can turn into an attack-beast. I mean, come on, Even ask Axton, military attack dogs, which happen to wear ballistic armor at times. Again, its just a precaustion." He stated with a shrug of his shoulders once more.

Rhys tenses. "Yeah, well, Zer0 didn't have to come and get me, they chose to. I could've stopped working whenever I decided." Rhys lies through his teeth, and gets quickly distracted by Jack's irritating words. He's ready to rip out his hair at this point. "Buddy is not one of those things, Jack. He's just a baby, he's not meant for all of that stuff. He only does it when he needs to, and he doesn't need to. I'm being trained by Axton for a reason, so I don't have to rely on Zer0 and Buddy. Those precautions don't need to exist."

"Well, obviously Buddy doesn't think so if they're still tearing into people that come near you threateningly." Jack retorted with a vague hand gesture, especially hearing the scrapping and whining a the door. Buddy was up and moving and amusing Zero it seemed with begging to be let out of the room at the moment. Most likely to find rhys, which in a way, further proved Jack's point. Despite being cute and cuddle most of the time, buddy was /very/ protective.

Rhys looks towards the door, and pauses. Part of him wants to continue this argument, but more of him wants to go and see Buddy. He looks at Jack with a hard look in his eyes, and closes his mechanical hand. "We'll continue this later." He hisses, before turning and opening the door. He immediately kneels to Buddy's level, though he doesn't have to go very low since Buddy is quite large. "Hey, Buddy! Did you miss me? Because I sure missed you! Yes I did!" He begins to coo, taking both sides of Buddy's face with his gloved hand and his mechanical one and rubbing them lovingly.

Buddy whines loud and excited, tail wagging rapidly as their face is grabbed, tongue hanging out in attempts to slobber on Rhys hands with little success before lifting their front legs to put them on Rhys shoulders and bump their head against rhys while Jack rolled his eyes in amusement but after picking up caramel, he headed back to his office while Zero just sat on the desk/table, watching.
