Rhys only seems to huff at that, too sleepy to fight back against the movement though his scrunched up nose made it appear as if he wasn't too happy with it. He adjusts, though, and shifts to shove his face into Zero's chest now. His facial features relax eventually and his breathing slows, the only sign of life really being his eyes moving underneath his eyelids. Already deep in a dream, you'd probably have to pour water on Rhys to wake him up now.

Zero settled easily into the night, easing to sleep with Rhys in their arms and most of their armor scattered across the floor. Their body entirely still as they laid there, no real sound of breathe escaping hem even. He was only disturbed in the early morning to Buddy, who was switching between whining and snarling at the door, even full on charging and bashing into it or cowaring away from it. What was going on with the vault beast right now?

Rhys flinches awake after maybe the fifth time Buddy bashed into the door, eyes snapping open in bleary confusion. Sleep still heavy in his system, the CEO shakes Zer0's arms from him to sit up. He looks down at Zer0, who was awake as well, blinking a few times before it seems to register what's happening. His head turns to Buddy, and he lets out a quiet sigh as he rubs his eyes with the back of his hands. "What's the matter with Buddy?" He mumbles, barely audible, and swings his legs over the side of the bed. "Hey, Buddy, stop, you'll hurt yourself. What's going... Going on?" He yawns.

With Rhys now awake to deal with the beast, Zero sits up to look at buddy with four blurry red eyes before rolling over to reach for his helmet. Once thats secured and he's gathering the rest of his armor, Buddy continues pacing side to side along the door before turning on rhys but instead of getting the usual whine or begging sound buddy actually snarls at rhys and snaps at the other's non-mechanical hand, as if trying to back him away from the door.

Rhys pulls away his hand just in time, Buddy's jaw only inches away from chewing off one of his fingers. He holds his hand close to his chest with his mechanical one, looking both offended and concerned. "Hey, what's gotten into you? We've talked about this before, remember? No biting my flesh hand. It hurts, unlike this one." He moves his mechanical hand to put emphasis on it, but notices that Buddy isn't acting quite like themselves. The monster seems afraid of something, and if Buddy is afraid of something? Well, Rhys would rather not find out what it is. "Come on, Buddy. The door isn't gonna hurt you. It's just a simple little door... See?" Fighting against his instincts of getting back into bed and forgetting about this, Rhys pulls himself closer to the door and reaches out to open it.

Buddy is rather quick to barrel rhys down and away from the door, hissing, snarling and howling practically. This definitely gets Zero's attention as the assassin's off the bed and moving over quickly to drag Rhys away from the crazed vault beast. "This aggression untold / danger lurks before our eyes / this can not be right" Zero stated, watching as Buddy shifted their focus back to the door again and continued ramming into it or cowaring away from it. Could this be from the overworking and exhaustion from yesterday or did jack mess up again?

Rhys yells in shock as he stumbles back, nearly falling over but Zer0 is quick to grab him and pull him a safe distance away. Finally steady, Rhys looks over at Zer0 as the assassin speaks and can't help but let the worry show on his face. Though the idea of Buddy turning on them is not one Rhys wants to consider, he moves to grab his stun baton from the drawer beside his bed. He lets it rest in his flesh hand, as he brings up his mechanical one. When he brings up his communications, there doesn't seem to be any missed calls or unusual activity. Rhys closes the ECHO feed and his ECHO eye activates, scanning Buddy.

Buddy's iridium and Metallic composition were both rather low, most likely from the work from yesterday, even if it should of built back up by now. not to mention their core temperature was burning much hotter then usual due to their aggression and their rocky armor appeared to be chipping and cracking with every slam against the door that was starting to dent and warp, allowing buddy to occasionally shove their snout into the bent opening and claw at the floor outside the door.

Rhys shakes his head, reading off the information provided to him back to Zer0. "Iridum and metallic composition low, almost dangerously, and their core temperature is about to get dangerously hot. They're sick, but... Why the door?" Rhys moves forward despite knowing it isn't the best idea, his ECHO eye switching off as he lowers himself to Buddy's level. "Hey, Buddy, hey. What... What're you doing, lil guy? You know if you do that it'll hurt your armor, and we don't want that. Let's just calm down." He begins, calmly, reaching out with his mechanical hand to place it on Buddy's back.

Buddy's head is more stuck in the hole they created in the door, so the moment Rhys laid a hand on them, their entire body started thrashing about. Claws scrambling at the floor and door to try and push back, shrieking loudly like they were in pain or in danger. The sudden change got Zero and a few people in the hallway to jump, this also drew in the attention of a certain orange feline and their owner as Caramel's loud meowing could be heard pretty soon after Buddy started shrieking, which got buddy to quiet down a bit and transition form shrieking to low whining.

"What in the name of the destroyer is going on.... What did i just come across? What did those two leave you locked in there or something? Unbelieveable." Jack's obviously outside the door now just staring at buddy and caramel, who's got her tiny paws on Buddy's snout and licking the vault beasts forehead in attempts to calm their new friend down while jack puts a hand against his cheek, trying to figure out why buddy was going crazy.
