Rhys’ eyes practically light up when he feels the buttons underneath his fingertips, smile only growing. He shifts to lean up towards the other, fingers pressing the button and only lifting it up halfway to kiss right beside Zer0’s cheek affectionately. ❝Oh, come on, Zero. I can protect you now. I’m all big and strong now thanks to training with Axton, remember?❞ He says, tone teasing as he waited before completely removing the others helmet.

"Snow defeats you still." Zero stated in amusement, lifting his hands so to fully remove the helmet now and set it aside before taking hold of Rhys' hands, a soft hum escaping them.

Rhys doesn’t even falter, eyebrows raising as he snarked back, ❝I beat you with snow, remember?❞ Though Zer0 had let him win that fight. Rhys pulls Zero’s hands closer, and kisses the back of the assassin’s hand. ❝A man can’t help his clumsiness, Zero. It’s my biggest fault, yet... My biggest strength. Exhibit A: I’ve managed to get out of nearly every terrible scenario by somehow messing up.❞ He says, sounding rather proud of himself.

Zero couldn't help the soft chuckle and gentle shake of his head at this, face plate still lighting with first a smiley face then a heart, even if Zero wasn't wearing it. He lifted a hand to easily cup rhys cheek, lightly stroking it with his 'thumb' before giving the other a light kiss. "Dork." He mumbled playfully.

Rhys returns the kiss with a small smile tugging at his lips, and snickers at Zero’s mumbling. ❝Dork? You think I’m a dork?❞ He asks, fake wounded. He presses his lips against the others cheek, and mumbles into it. ❝Yeah, well, even if I’m a dork, you’re still dating me. So who’s the real dork here?❞

"Still you." Zero answered playfully, another soft chuckle escaping them as they put their arm around Rhys shoulders, holding the other closer against them at the moment. It was still rather nice to just lay back and relax at the moment with Rhys right now.

Rhys huffs, and his head falls down to lay on Zero’s shoulder. He only raises it to glance over at them, about to retort before a sigh escapes his lips. The sleepless night catching up to him, Rhys’ lips tighten into a line momentarily. ❝Yeah, well... Nevermind.❞ He mumbles, and his eyes close slowly. ❝It’s... Yeah. Time for a nap.❞ He stretches, and then nuzzles into their neck.

Zero looked a bit mused as they settled down easily. "Sounds ideal." He concluded easily, quite content with such a simple idea. They both needed a nap afer the days they had. Rhys working so much and Zero's tiring hunt.

Rhys hums something in response — maybe a weak ‘goodnight’ by the sounds of it, but it’s mostly muffled and Rhys doesn’t seem to want to repeat himself. As he drifts to sleep, Rhys finds himself getting used to Zero’s armor-clad arms around him, yet wonders if that would ever change. Though, Rhys is quite content with only seeing Zero’s face, if that’s only how much the assassin would show Rhys. He was happy with this, despite curiosity. Besides, he nearly died last time he saw Zero without his suit — he barely got a good look, with Zero’s back facing him at the time.

Wings, though. Rhys smiles into Zero’s neck, where is face is practically buried, and falls asleep.

Zero felt the mumbled 'goodnight' against their neck, a soft hum escaping them as they pulled Rhys ever so closer. Making it much easier to turn on their side and hold the other with both arms. This would shift Rhys' face to more of his chest/front of his neck then against the side.
