"Mary I've breakfast for you here when you're ready. I know you probably didnt get any." He said softly. "Are you okay? " He asked

[Boomer]

"Oh, thank you..." said Mary softly, "I'm doing well, thank you. Maria is a bit sore from yesterday." She then prepped Alessa's arm for the blood draw.

"I've extra there in case she would like something other than hospital food. But I don't know how she's feeling, I just want her to feel comfortable after having pups. " He said softly

[Boomer]

"We both appreciate it." said Mary softly, giving a nod, "I haven't gotten her to eat much of anything... her procedure was quite taxing on her, both physically and mentally." She didn't want to discuss exactly what happened in front of the pups, but it wasn't good. Alessa slightly winced as the needle went into her arm.

He nodded his head. He then went into the kitchen and made sure Mary's and Alessa's plates were still okay and warm. They were. So he put them on top of the counter and waited for the two to be ready.

[Boomer]

Mary finished drawing the blood, then put everything away. She sat with Alessa for a few minutes until the pup felt okay enough to walk. She helped her into the kitchen and got her to sit down. The two then began to eat.

Jason had his breakfast then went into the kitchen. He put Maria's breakfast in a bento box and looked at Mary. "I'll leave this here for Maria." He smiled

[Boomer]

"Thank you, Jason..." said Mary softly, looking to him, "I'm sure Maria will appreciate it." Alessa finished eating before Mary, so she got up and took her dishes to the sink. Alessa then took a sip of water before taking her iron pill. Mary stood up after she was done eating. "I'd also like to thank you for letting the pups stay the night." she added, "Maria was in no position to be left on her own last night."

"If you need them to stay another ever again, they're free to. I got them pizza last night." He smiled. "They went to bed at their usual time. " He added. "I hope she's okay."

[Boomer]

"I can't say I'm surprised that they talked you into pizza." mused Mary, turning to face him, "I'm grateful for your standing offer. I think they'll be able to come home today." Mary looked to her watch, then moved towards the living room. "I've got a shift today." she said, "If you'd like, they can come with me. There's a daycare upstairs that they normally stay at."
