Max's ears twitched when he heard the door, he tucked Matt back in and headed downstairs, he frowned when he saw Alessa was gone. "Alessa?" he asked worriedly, he went to check the back door, looking out, before he headed to the front and opened it, he sighed in relief, "Alessa." he said, smiling gratefully, "What are you doing out here?" he asked.

Alessa wandered towards the road, but never stepped in it. She turned around as she heard Max. "I didn't know where you went..." she said quietly, "I thought you'd be out here to get some fresh air." She walked back to the porch and tilted her head slightly. "Did you go check on Matt?" she asked.

Max picked her up and hugged her, "I was worried about you." he said softly, he didn't want to lose her. "If you ever can't find me, check upstairs, and then the backyard first, okay?" he asked gently, "But I will try not to leave you like that again, I'm sorry." he said softly. "And I did, he's not feeling much better, but hopefully he'll start feeling better tonight." he said gently as he carried her back inside.

"I'm sorry, I didn't leave the yard." said Alessa softly, pinning her ears back. She let Max pick her up and carry her into the house. The girl looked back at the street and the houses across from their house. Alessa sighed softly, then rested her head on his shoulder.

"I know, and I am not mad." he reassured her softly, he really did care about her, she was his daughter now after all. "How are feeling?" he asked softly.

Alessa flicked her tail as she was held; she was getting used to it and even enjoyed it. "I'm okay, maybe a bit bored..." she murmured, "I know we can't go out and do anything."

"Want to play a boardgame?" he asked as he gave her a soft smile, he wanted her to feel safe and comfortable. "Have you ever played a board game?" he asked her with a smile.

"I don't know what that is..." she admitted, turning away. Alessa hadn't played many games, especially with her mother. She didn't bother playing with Alessa. Alessa yawned some as her stomach growled. "Hmm, is the bread done yet?" she murmured.

"Well I will teach you, how about board games and dinner?" he aseked her with a soft smile.

"That sounds great." she answered, smiling a bit. She wagged her tail as she was excited to learn how to play a game. "What are we going to play?" she inquired.
