"Well, if Matt is feeling better later, we can bring them some food." he said as he looked at her, he gave her a soft smile.

"Really?" said Alessa happily, "That'd be great! They'd bring us food if we were stuck there." She stuck out her tongue. "Hopefully the pups are getting something good at home." she added.

Max nodded as he looked at her, "If Matt is feeling better." he reminded gently.

[Boomer]

Alessa nodded a little as she looked to the oven. "I know..." she murmured. She then tilted her head. "How come he has to feel better?" she asked, "He could just stay in his room while we go. Mother kept me in my room when she went to her antique store."

Max looked at Alessa, "Because I don't want him home alone, especially with him not feeling good." he said softly as he looked at her, "You both are too young to be home alone." he told her softly.

[Boomer]

"Oh..." she said quietly, "It didn't really matter if I was ill or not, she'd keep me in my room." Alessa shrugged a little, then sighed. "I did like being alone, though." she mumbled, "At least I could practice in peace and I wouldn't get hit."

Max looked at her, "You will never get hit here." he said softly as he looked at her, "What did you practice?" he asked her softly.

"My power..." she whispered, almost weary of saying so. Alessa looked around for a moment before looking back to Max. "When she was gone, I could practice. That's how I got better." she murmured.

Max smiled, "Well you can practice here if you want, just carefully." he told her with a warm smile, wanting her to know she could be herself.

Alessa gave a nod, as she understood him clearly. "I can show you if you want..." she said quietly, "It's been a little while since I've practiced."
