Max looked at her, "Not today." he said softly, "She'll need time to recover, and Matt needs us to stay home right now." he said softly.

Alessa seemed a little disappointed, but didn't argue with him. "Okay..." she said quietly. She turned to read the book, then prepared the loaves.

Max helped her with a soft smile as he looked at her, he liked helping her, he really did, he hoped that this would help beuild her confidence.

[Boomer]

Alessa got the bread ready, but couldn't bring herself to set them in the oven. She was terrified of being burned and reliving the pain she felt almost three years ago. "C-can you put these in the oven too?" she asked.

"Of course." Max smiled, "But it will need to wait till the others are done." he told her, "Want to get something else ready? Maybe we could hacve some french bread with supper?" he asked, knowing the insie would be soft enough she could eat it.

"Oh, okay." she said softly. Alessa then nodded some. "I don't know what that is, but it sounds good." she murmured.

He smiled, "It's bread with a crunchy crust, but a really soft and fluffy inside.' he told her as he opened the book to a page with the recipe;

BIC:
"Oh, that sounds really good..." she smiled, slowly wagging her tail. Alessa sat at the island counter and rested her head on her paws.

He smiled as he watched her, "Want to take a nap?" he asked her with a smile as he got the yeast getting ready.

OOC: Yeah, I feel ya.

"Well, I suppose a nap wouldn't hurt..." she said quietly, "May I go rest on the couch?" The pup didn't feel like going to her room.
