Rainer frowned a little, he didn't like this, and although he liked Maria, he didn't trust her to go home and then come back to the hospital, but he didn't get to argue, he was called over by another doctor, asking if he could help with something, "Will you guys be okay without me?" he asked.

[Boomer]

"Yeah, don't worry. We'll see you later, okay?" said Maria softly. She kissed him before walking with Henry. Henry just stayed quiet, as he didn't want to get on Mary's bad side. He'd make sure to get her back to the hospital, even if she started kicking and screaming. Although Henry didn't usually say much, he still cared about Mary and his adoptive pups.

He nodded, "Thank you." he said, he kissed her bck before he left, he liked helping when he could, that's why he became a doctor, he just hoped everything worked out with Mary, he'd make sure to check on them before he headed out.

[Boomer]

Maria helped get Mary into the car and Henry took them home. Maria gathered the pups into the living room as Mary told them what was going to happen tomorrow. Maria stayed downstairs until her girls started crying.

Max went up after Maria, "Need some help?" he asked softly, knowing she was probably having a hard time with this.

Maria looked towards Max as she picked up Eileen and Rebecca. "Yeah, if you don't mind..." she said quietly, "I think they might need to be changed, but I'm not sure." She looked a little flustered from the talk with the surgeon.

Max nodded, "Of course." he smiled softly, he picked up the last pup and sniffed, wrinkling his nose, "Found the stinker." he said with a light laugh as he carried her to the changing table.

[Boomer]

"Oh good, you're better at this than I am." she murmured. Maria swiftly checked Eileen and Rebecca, confirming that they were clean. She turned her back to Max as she fed them. "Mare's going in tonight." she said, "The surgery is sometime tomorrow... in the morning, I think. I'm not too sure."

Max nodded, "I can try and help out around here some more." he said with a soft smile, he could just pull some late nights to get his work done, "I can watched the babies if you want to go in with her tomorrow." he offered as he changed the pup and then smiled at her when he was finished, "All clean!"

"That'd be awesome, thank you." she said softly. Maria set the girls on her bed and readjusted herself. She then took Jacqueline from Max to nurse her. "This is gonna suck and I'm not sure if I'm ready." she mumbled, "I feel bad for Mare, since she's the one that's gonna be knocked out and have a piece of her vertebrae removed."
