She nodded as she sewed, "Well I am glad that you at least got her." she said with a soft smile, she hummed as she sewed, "I am glad that you still have her as well."

[Boomer]

"I think I would've been broken long before the... accident, if I didn't have Scarlett." she murmured, "She kept me going. She saved my life... how could I just throw her away?" Alessa knew she should've outgrown carrying a stuffed animal a long time ago, but she couldn't bring herself to just leave Scarlett in her room with the other stuffed animals she had been given. Scarlett was more special than they were.

"You don't have to, I still have my childhood stuffed animal." she smiled, she motioned to a fluffy bear on the bed, "Emma makes sure she stays in good shape and doesn't fall apart." she said with a soft smile, "You can keep Scarlett with you as long as you want, to take care of her, and she can take care of you."

[Boomer]

Alessa followed her gesture to the bed, seeing the stuffed bear. "But, you don't carry it around with you all the time." she said softly, "You're comfortable with letting it sit on your bed... I'm not comfortable like that. I can barely stand Scarlett being with Emma." The pup wasn't jealous or angry, she simply needed Scarlett to feel safe and protected. Alessa felt exposed in a way, and she wasn't used to that feeling.

"Well it takes time, and also letting yourself feel vulnerable like this without her, to see it is okay." she said with a soft smile as she looked over at Alessa and handed her the jacket inside, 'How does this fit?" she asked her.

[Boomer]

"I don't like the feeling..." she admitted, "I've been so vulnerable for so long. She brought me peace and comfort." Alessa took a deep breath to help rid herself of her anxiety. She then took the jacket and slipped it over herself. "It fits well." she answered, moving around a little.

"It will take time." she smiled as she took it gently and got to work finishing it up, "I know things can be scary, especially since you didn't have an easy time growing up."

[Boomer]

Alessa gave a nod as she sat on the bed once the jacket was taken. "But... I don't think Max or Mary or Rainer mind if I have Scarlett for now." she murmured, "At least, I hope they don't see her as a problem."

"They don't mind at all." Hylda reassured her with a warm smile as she looked at the pup, it was interesting how she listed all three, and not just Max. She smiled at her gently, "How is your home schooling going?" she asked.

[Boomer]

"It's been okay." she said, "Ever since I got sick and us moving in, it seems like it slowed down. But that's okay, I'd rather play or draw anyways." Alessa liked learning, but only for so long. She would get bored and restless after a while.
