Rainer smiled at her, "Morning Alessa." he said, "Morning Alessa." Max and Matt chimed, both smiling at her as well, Max was glad Rainer and Alessa were getting along, he just wanted them happy after all

Alessa took her spot at the table, then dipped her head. "Good morning..." she said softly. Maria came downstairs and sat down. Henry and Mary helped get the little pups their plates fixed. Maria fixed her own plate, then looked to Alessa. "Are you excited to go shopping?" she asked. "Yes, I am..." said Alessa softly, "It'll be nice, I'm sure." Once everyone got their share of food, they started eating. Alessa didn't feel the need or rush to scarf down her food; she felt totally at ease.

Rainer smiled as he watched, he happily ate as well, he was glad to have them all as family, he heard a knock on the door and looked over, knowing it was his mom. He smiled and got up to let her in, and when he came back, he was with a tall, golden eyed wolf, her white coat had a cream tinge to it, and her one ear was folded over. She smiled when she saw them, and Alessa, she smiled even more, "Hello! My little pupchik!" she said with a happy smile as she walked to the table.

The little pups looked to Rainer's mother, then over to Mary. The two looked alike, they thought. Alessa turned to her grandmother, feeling a mixture of excitement and fear. She was always nervous around strangers, especially women. Still, Alessa swallowed her fear. "Hello..." she said softly, unsure if she should get up or not. Henry and the twins were quiet, not wanting to interrupt the moment.

Rainer smiled, "Alessa, this is your grnadmother Hylda." he said as he looked at her, Hylda smiled at Alessa, "Looks like a wonderful feast you have here little on, "I also hear it is your birthday, so I brought you a little something, but we will save that for after breakfast hmm?" she asked, sitting down in a free chair as Rainer sat down as well.

"Yes'm, Mary is a wonderful cook." she said, dipping her head, "Thank you for coming and bringing me a gift." "Rainer and I made all of her favorites." said Mary softly, looking to Hylda, "She asks for this every morning, but I don't always have the time to make everything." "We kinda got surprised too, since we didn't know you were coming." said Cybil, turning to her left to face Hylda, "But we're used to a lot of people in the house." Cynthia and Vincent nodded in agreement. "Have you eaten this morning?" asked Mary, "You're more than welcome to help yourself." She completely understood wanting to not be catered to, so Mary didn't try to make Hylda a plate.

Hylda smiled, "I think I will eat with you all, it looks just marvellous." she said with a warm grin, one of her canine teeth was broken and worn, "Well, Alessa, you certainly have wonderful taste n food." he told her happly.

"Thank you ma'am." hummed Alessa, giving a nod. As most of the Shepherd family got seconds, Maria was about to when she paused. She thought she heard one of her girls crying. "It's nice to finally see you in person." said Maria softly, "I'm Maria... Rainer told me all about you and the yaks." She finally did hear one of the pups crying from upstairs. "If you'll excuse me, please." she said, smiling sheepishly. Maria left to tend to her pups.

Hylda laughed, "Ahh yes, Rainer loves the yaks.' she said with a smile, she looked over at the crying as well, "Of course dearie." she smiled, Rainer stood to go help her, knowing one would wake up the others.

Alessa watched them go, then flicked her tail. "He told me about the yaks too." she said softly, "They seem nice, especially Petunia." "Who named the yak Petunia?" asked Cynthia, tilting her head a little. Henry and Mary were quiet as they ate. They were fine with just listening to the others speak. Maria came down a few minutes later with Eileen; the pup had settled down. "I think she had a bad dream." she said, sitting at the table with her pup.
