Rainer nodded, "And I will let you go, and I will let you rest." he said, smiling over at Maria, "But I will be in touch with you for our date." he said happily.
"Oh, good night." said Maria quietly, yawning a little. She switched on the TV and decided to watch TV for a while; it was still early. "Um... if you want, you could hang out?" said Maria, "But if you have to get back to work, I get it."
Rainer checked his watched, "I still have time." he smiled as he looked at her, he sat on the edge of her bed, "So you like my company?" he asked with a teasing smile.
"Of course, you've been good to Eileen." said Maria, "I'm glad she isn't going to have any more problems with her eye." She looked over to the sleeping pup. "So Alessa's your kid, huh?" she mused, "I'm a bit surprised, truth be told."
Rainer nodded, "Yeah, she will be as right as rain." he reassured her with a smile. He looked at her when she mentioned Alessa and he nodded, "Yes, it surprised me as well, I never thought I'd see her." he said softly, "I wish she had a better upbringing."
"I wish she did too." said Maria quietly, "I don't think she got to do much." She frowned a little as she looked to Rainer. "Poor thing was terrified of a haircut." she mumbled, "I really don't think she's been exposed to a lot of things."
Raihner shook his head, "I blame Dahlia, I thought she was a good woman, but when she got pregnant, she let her true colours shine. And then she made it clear I wasn't to be anywhere near Alessai, she took her away and I couldn't even find her after awhile." he sighed.
"How'd you figure out her name?" asked Maria, tilting her head some. She couldn't imagine being so cruel to your own pups; she'd do anything to keep her daughters safe. "Maybe if you talk to Max, he'd let you visit her..." she murmured.
"I met her when she was a baby, and Dahlia made a hige scene and that was the last time I ever got to see her." he said softly, shaking his head. "And I don't know, he doesn't seem to like me much." he said softly, "I just want her happy."
"Oh..." murmured Maria. She was understanding the situation a bit better. "I'm sure Max has the same feelings you have." she added, "He wants Alessa to be happy too. Besides, she deserves to know her father."
