aly woke up filled with guilt. she was allowed to take a walk so she went to the roof. she went to alexa and whispered in her ear, “it’s all my fault. zach is dead because of me.

alexa wasn't really doing anything, more sitting in the back watching the transfers. "it's not your fault." she said quietly. she knew zach didn't do that to himself.

”but i was a jerk to him and made him feel horrible about himself.” she murmured and frowned. “or did they do it to him because he was divergent?” she asked in a shaky voice. she guessed she was going to get killed sooner or later because she was divergent.

alexa bit her lip and looekd at aly. "i don't know. but i know it wasn't an accident. and i wouldn't be surprised. divergents are freaks." she muttered, even though she was a divergent herself she couldn't let that show. she had to pretend in order to stay alive. she stood up and walked off the roof, sighing as she did.

she had to go back to the infirmary and when she passed alexa she murmured, “your a bad liar.” she walked faster and went into the infirmary and laid down on the uncomfortable beds.

alexa decided just to leave what she said, but couldn't stop thinking about what aly had said. hours had passed and she decided to go back to the infirmary. "what was i lying about?"

”You were lying when you said divergents were freaks.” she whispered and sighed. “i can tell when people are lying.”

[lupins]

"they are freaks. people who don't fit in are freaks." she stated, biting her lip slightly.

[skyprincess]

”biting your lip is a sign of lying.” she murmured and rolled her eyes.

"so what?! divergents are just normal people. like anyone else in this faction. it's not my fault that zach was killed." she stated.
