Piper didn't know what to do so without thinking she pinched Mikah's face until there was a large red mark on him to force him to stay awake. "Talk to me! Tell me about when you were little."

Mikah whimpered, trying to move away from her. Unfortunately, that did remind him of when he was little. He opened his eyes, shying away from her, his hands moving to protect himself from her. He was in a haze, and thought she was her parents, that she was going to hurt him more.

Piper watched him worried but stepped away as she finished, knowing there was nothing else she could really do for him. She turned her attention to Caius and began to work t stitch up his leg so he could at least move around the camp again. "I'm so sorry for all of this. It's my fault this started." She muttered, wiping tears away from her eyes so she could see what she was doing as she refused to make eye contact with him.

"No, it's not," he said gently. "I have a feeling they would have gotten attacked regardless." He gently tucked her hair over her shoulder. "We'll be alright," he said softly. "Magnus and Azuna need your help." He wanted her to stay, but knew he couldn't be selfish. Someone had to help them, and Caius and Mikah couldn't.

Piper shook her head. "I need to keep an eye on Mikah. Your leg should be fine to walk on right now just dont try to push yourself." she kissed his forehead before trying to wipe some of the blood off her hands and onto her clothes. She couldn't handle seeing anyone else she cared about hurt and knew that if she saw Magnus she wouldn't be able to help him with how shaken she was.

Caius nodded. He stood up, kissed Piper's cheek, then began to make his way out of the hut. He limped through the village, going where he last saw Magnus and Azuna.

Mikah twitched, uncomfortable and in pain. He looked up at Piper, whispering her name.

Piper went back to Mikah and held his hand, trying to offer some comfort to him without making him feel trapped. "Its going to be ok Mikah, just hang in there." She spoke softly to him, gently moving some of his hair out of his face.

It wasn't long before Caius could hear muffled screams that were easily recognized as Magnus' coming from one of the huts. Azuna stood outside with her eyes closed, obviously trying to block out the sound. One of her arms was in a sling and she was badly bruised with a cut under her eye surrounded by a particularly nasty looking bruise.

Caius limped faster, worried. "Azuna! What's going on?" He reached the hut, crouching down beside her, gently placing his hand on his shoulder.

Mikah murmured softly, moving a bit. He flicked his eyes over her, not completely sure why she was here. He didn't think that she cared about him anymore. It was nice to know that she did, or at least he thought she did.

Azuna looked up at him, looking numb rather than shaken like how Piper was. "It's Magnus. He got burned really badly and they are trying to treat it but it isn't going well." Her voice was hollow but she didn't seem to notice as she looked into the hut Magnus laid on a table being held down by several people as his body shook in pain. Burn marks stretched across most of his torso and enveloped one of his arms while streaking up his neck and onto his face. As the others held him down another person was quickly smearing something on the burns to try to sooth them but the contact was only causing the pain to intensify to the point they had to keep a stick in his mouth so he wouldn't bit through his own tongue. Azuna looked away and back at Caius. "How is Mikah?"

Caius flinched, looking away from the sight. "Not so well," he answered. "Piper's trying to help him. How are you?" he asked, trying to ignore Magnus' screams.
