Kaylana was taken aback and struggled ti find words. She quickly gave up and walked off as Magnus chuckled quietly to himself. "Well that was new." He muttered quietly as he watched Liah. "Any clue what all that is about?" he asked Liah, believing it was some spat between the girls and that Kaylana most likely didn't actually like him.

Liah smirked, sitting closer beside him. "Girl's got a crush on you," she teased. She watched Kaylana leave, then looked at Magnus, her expression softening a bit.

Magnus wrinkled his nose and shook his head as he chuckled a bit. "I highly doubt that. Probably some bet among the girls. There have been a few acting oddly today. I almost took Trish's head off today when she walked up behind me while I was working. I hope shes ok, she ran off crying before I could check." He leaned back against the tree again and closed his eyes, listening to the sound of the village.

"No, really. A lot of girls like you, and apparently, they regret not making a move before, you know, so now they're trying to win you over." She moved a bit closer to him, wanting to be closer and to rest her head on his shoulder. She missed talking to him like this. "Even ask Dash. He's the one who noticed all of this."

Magnus rolled his eyes at her and without thinking he wrapped an arm around her and pulled her close to him, his warmth intermediately enveloping her as he kissed the top of her head. "Yes because a criminal is perfect marriage material. They will get over it. They are just all worked up because the festival is coming up and they want someone to dance with."

Liah smiled, wrapping her arms around him. She blushed, and rested her head on his shoulder. She laughed. "Yes, that must be it," she teased. She snuggled against him, relaxing happily.

Magnus rested his head ontop of hers as he closed his eyes again. "No seriously, just wait. I watch it every year. It is the only reason I got my past two girlfriends. They got all nervous about being alone for the festival then broke up with me right afterwards." He smirked slightly as he nudged her gently. "You need to be careful too. Guys are the same way. Although if I had to guess I'd say you are probably hoping there is some way that Mountain Man can come join you for the holiday."

"That is rude." She had not even noticed that. "No worries, Magnus. I have never participated in the festival." She ignored the comment about Dalton. They had just been allies, though she had found him attractive.

Magnus chuckled, the laugh vibrating through her as she leaned against his chest. "That's a shame. I always enjoyed it. Granted I was normally only ever at the fighting ring or the food table but it was always entertaining for everyone from what I saw."

She smiled. "It is. I have just watched on the sidelines, though. Always felt like I should be going around, keeping guard instead of joining in. Never really felt right. I participated once, but only because my girlfriend wanted me to. She was right, though. It was fun. But I never went back to being involved with it afterwards. Not my thing, I guess."
