Piper picked up the cloth and wrapped it around her face again, trying to hide her disappointment in him. "How can i believe you will be there for me in my time of need if you crumble when your family and your people need you?" She couldnt bring herself to look at him as she turned to leave. "You need to rest and i need to go. Goodbye Mikah. Im sorry for everything."

"Piper. No. No no no. Piper.." He stumbled towards her, his breath hitching as he started to breathe faster, upset. "I'll get better. I'd get better. Please. If you helped me I'd..I'd get better. Please, Piper. Please. Piper, no." He began to panic as she turned as if to leave. "No no no no! Piper, don't leave me! Please!"

"If you can do better thsn prove it. I may be back... I dont know. Im not happy Mikah. I gave up everything and you are just throwing it all away." She couldnt help but be angry. She felt as if she had no choice, knowing if she had stayed her people would have ended up killing eachother over the next ruler, Mikah and his people never would have had the chance to run, and she would have been murdered like her father. To see Mikah give up on life over her when he barely knew her filled her with dissapointment and disgust.

"How could you do that? Leave when I need you, while you say that I won't be there when you need me? You're a hypocrite!" He was upset and frustrated, and felt like punching a wall. "Don't do this. Please. If you leave, how can I do things like stick around and be with you at your worst when you won't do the same to me? How can I---" He was crying, tears streaming down his face. "Don't do this. Please, Piper. Please," he begged her. "Please. I need you. I need your help."

Piper gritted her terth and whiped around, shoving him in the chest but it barely evrn made him tilt. "I gave up everything so you would all be safe! They were going to kill all of you and the only reason you all got away was because my people were too distracted by my death to see what was happening! I did everything i could to keep you alive in that stuoid competition that i didnt even want you in! How am i tge hypocrite? Just because i dont weild a swird doesnt mean i dont protect tge people i care about." She was seething, only barely managing to keep enough control to keep her voice quiet so she wouldnt be discovered.

"How can you reprimand me for trying to take my life when you killed yourself? All I want, all I wanted was to be with you. I gave up everything for you, for the chance to spend the rest of my life with you. But that didn't happen. Please don't leave me again. Give me a chance to make things right. Give yourself a chance to make up for leaving me. For killing yourself when we were going to help you get sway. I understand why, why you did it, but... You left me when you were alive. Please don't leave me again now that you're gone. Please," he whispered. "If I can't have you in this life, can't I have you in the afterlife? What do I have to do to be with you? Please tell me," he begged.

Piper glared at him. "If you hating me means you finally wake uo and take care of your family then thats ok. I dont need love to function so stop expecting me to do anything for it. If you need someone to love focus on liah. She needs you. I can take care of myself." She didnt want to argue any more, knowing that she had already stayed too late. Before he could say anything else she turned and quickly left, disappearibg unnoticed into the forest.

"Piper, please...," he protested, but it was too late because she had already gone. "No," he whispered, starting to quiver. "No!" He buried his face in his hands, crying, because he had lost her again. And this time, she hated him.

Liah had heard Mikah talking, but didn't move to go in and see. "Do not go in," she sighed, to Dash. "He has been talking to hallucinations. You should not disturb him. It is not worth it. I will go check on him later."

Caius had looked around for Piper, but couldn't find. He started to panic once he couldn't find her. He searched the camp for her, then started to look for her in the forest. Had Magnus or Liah taken her? He kept an eye out for both of them as he looked for Piper.

Dash nodded sadly. "I should probably head back. Try to stay safe, ok? I feel like things are just going to get worse."

Piper headed back to the camp quickly, barely focusing on the world arou d her as they walked.

"Alright," she said quietly. She wasn't sure how to help her brother, and she was worried about him. "Thank you for trying. I wish you well."

"Piper!" Caius sighed in relief once he spotted her. "Where were you?"
