Piper gently stroked his hair out of his face. "Mikah it isnt you. Im not ready for somethibg like that, especially after all ive done." She softly kissed his forehead. "Besides, im dead."

Piper didnt know what to say so she just held him. "You need to forget me. All i do is hurt you and those you care about." She whispered into his ear.

"I can't forget you!" He pressed his forehead against hers. "No," he whispered. "If you leave you will hurt me. If you stay you will help me heal. I can't do this without you. Please don't go."

Piper pulled the cloth down from her face and kissed his nose. "Mikah, if i stay and they find me they will kill everyone. You cant value having me more than having liah. She is your sister. Why is knowing i am alive not enough?"

"I hate her. She wouldn't let me save you. I hate her," he hissed, angry at Liah. "She's not my family. Not anymore." He looked up at her eyes, his gaze softening again. "You're not alive," he whispered. "You said that yourself. You can't be alive. Not if you want to leave me. No, Piper would stay here. She'd stay here with me. She wouldn't leave me again. She knows, she would know that that's not going to help me. Help anyone. No," he whispered.

Piper frowned and pulled away from him as she stood up. "Liah had nothing to do with this. Mikah i care about you but you know nothing about me. What makes you think i would want to stay when youve given up on yourself?"
