It took a while but once Magnus reached tge edge of his fields he felt his thundering heart begin to slow. He dropped down to the ground and laid among the plants as the scent of damp, rich earth filled his nose and soothed him. He closed his eyes as he began to hate himself for what he had done. He would go back tomorrow and fix this. He would be better, he had to be."

Piper and Azuna walked over and looked at Liah worriedlt. "What happened?" Azuna asked, looking around for the cause.

Dash hit a button and the ship detatched. Almost immediately warning lights and sounds brgan to blare but he ignored it as he forced the ship to turn towards earth. He slammed on the accelerator when they were lined up and shot towards the earth. Once they burst through the atmosphere tge ship began to shake violently and they heard the crunch of the engine breaking off and exploding.

Liah sobbed, burying her face in Dalton's chest. He wrapped his arms tighter around her, holding her close. "We saw Magnus," he told them, his voice soft. "He asked about the twins, and when they came up to him, he just turned around and left. He seemed uncomfortable with us, too."

Mikah clenched his jaw, squeezing his eyes shut. Caius gripped his seat tightly, his heart beating loudly in his ears, feeling afraid that they were going to die.

Piper walked over and rubbed her back gently. "Itll be ok. We will find him tomorrow and find out what-" but she didnt finish her sentence as a blast drew everyones attention to tge sky. What looked like a large shooting star streaked across the sky away from them and heading off towards the horizon.

Azuna paled and immediately felt sick at the sight of the shooting star. "Thats a drop ship." She said quietly but they all still heard.

As they broke through the atmosphere the force being pressed in on them made them feel dizzy and faint but dash refused to pass put. Fire licked at the falling ship as the ground grew quickly closer. He cursed interally as he realized they overshot his intended crash site and now would be weeks away from the others. He forced his hand forward and hit the parachute button as they drew closer and the sudden jerk of the parachute yamking them back slightly caused dash to fall forward against his harness and hit his chin against the controls cutting it open. He ignored the blood and kept focus. His knuckles were white from holding so tightly to the controls and he only allowed himself to close his eyes in the few moments before they slammed into the ocean. The window shattered immediately allowing water to surge in but the sinking wss slow. Immedieately dash unhook himself and grabbed his things before struggling to swim to tbe surface.

Liah shuddered, looking up at the sky. She pressed against Dalton's side, watching it fall. The twins shrieked in fear, running to Liah. She wrapped her arms around them, holding them close as she watched the dropship. "I knew it!" Dalton said, triumphant. "That's them! That's them!"

Mikah was limp in his harness, passed out from the dizziness of breaking through the atmosphere. Caius flailed in his seat, struggling to unclip his harness. Once he did, he reached over and unclipped Mikah's, holding him up as he slumped forwards. "Dash, help..." he started to say, but Dash had already gone out. Caius felt the water against his body, but he forced himself not to panic. He dragged Mikah over to the window, his heart beating faster as more water filled the ship. "Dash!" he shouted, trying to get his attention. He couldn't swim, and Mikah wasn't conscious.

Azuna shuddered and fell to her knees, burying her hands in the sand as she tried to keep from being sick. This wasnt happening. All of this was way too much. It had been four years, they couldnt be alive.

Piper had a hand over her mouth as she fought tears, watching the ship streak towards the ground. She had the urge to run after it and pull caius from the wreckage herself but knew it was impossible. Clara looked at the adults and the ship confused before pointing after the ship. "What is that?"

Dash heard him through the headset and quickly sunk back down to them. The space suits were protecting them but water was slowly leaking in. Dash grabbed ahold of mikah and started pulling him towards the surface so that as long as caius held onto mikah they would all be ok. They broke the surface and dash felt relief at the sight of the shore not far off and began to kick towards it as quickly as possible.

Dalton knelt beside Azuna, gently pulling her into his arms. "It's okay," he whispered. "You're okay." He rubbed her back, pressing his cheek against hers.

Caius helped him get Mikah to the surface, their things on Caius back. He was relieved as they reached the surface. He swam as good as he could to the shore, helping Mikah.

Azuna looked up at Dalton, unsure of how she felt about anything. She had adapted to life in the bunker and was becoming comfortable with dalton again. Now she had no clue what was going to happen and was terrified of being alone again. "I dont want to be alone again..."

Dash dragged mikah onto the sandy beach before collapsing into the sand exhausted. He pulled his helmet off and dropped it in tge sand beside him as he looked at the baren landscape. "We overshot." He said slowly as he tried to catch his breath. "We are probably a few weeks from them still."

"You won't be alone," he promised her. He kissed her, sliding a hand into her hair.

Caius took off his suit immediately and collapsed into the sand. He took a deep breath if air, relieved to be on the ground again. "Well make it tger."

Azuna pulled him close, kissing him back.

Piper ignored them as she looked at where the ship had gone down. "We have to go to them. They could be hurt."

Dash looked over at the state of mikah and caius. He wanted to just run off and get as far from wherever dalton was as possible but as he looked at the others he knew he couldnt just abandon them. They would need him to get there. "We will rest here tonight and when mikah is better in the morning we will head off."

Dalton breathed in her sweet scent, holding her close as he kissed her, his eyes closing.

"Not you," Liah put in. "You have to stay here with Clara. The others can go and bring them back here."

Caius took Mikah's suit off and dragged him onto the grass. He flopped down beside him, relieved. He nodded tiredly.
