"You guys can't tell anyone else, okay?" she said, "Not until Shelby proves to everyone that she can be nice." Alessa looked out her window as she laid on her underside. "How much trouble did you guys get in?" she mumbled, "I'm really sorry about earlier... I didn't mean to get you guys in trouble."

[LilacSky]

"I didn't get in trouble," Clementine and Francine said together.
"I'm suspended for the rest of the week for beating Shelby up... Is she punished for hurting me? Or does she have an excuse?" Norman sounded slightly bitter, but not too bad.

[Boomer]

Alessa was relieved that the girls didn't get in trouble; they didn't do anything wrong. "I think she's suspended for the rest of the week too." said Alessa quietly, "I don't think I'm in trouble? I hope not..." The pup was starting to like school and she liked her friends. "Maybe with Shelby being absent, Mary can show her how to be nice." she murmured, "I think it'll work out in the end."

[LilacSky]

"That's good," Francine approved. "Anyways, I have to eat dinner. I'll see you tomorrow, Alessa, and Norman, I'll see you next week. Bye!" She clicked off, not saying goodbye to Clementine.
Irked, Clementine said, "I have homework, and I'm really tired. Bye, you guys." She hung up as well.
It was just Norman and Alessa left. "Well." Norman began. "I guess I should go. Don't want to bother you. Have you eaten yet?"

[Boomer]

"Bye guys!" said Alessa, listening to them leave. She then shook her head, even though Norman couldn't see her. "Not yet, but you're not bothering me." she said, "I'm not sure what we're doing for dinner... I hope it's pizza or something."

[LilacSky]

"You should ask your M-Mary," Norman said uncertainly. "Sorry." He had been about to say Mom.

[Boomer]

"It's okay, she's more of a mother than my birth one." she said quietly. Alessa shrugged a little, then pricked her ears as she heard Mary calling for her. "I gotta go, but I'll talk to you tomorrow." she said, "Bye Norman." She hung up, then walked into the living room. Mary had Shelby on the couch next to her with the little pups on the other couch. Alessa sat down and looked over at the little pups. "I wanted you to be here while I introduced Shelby to the pups." explained Mary, "Shelby will be staying with us for a while." She then turned to Shelby. "Those are my pups, Cybil, Cynthia, and Vincent." she said. The pups said "hello" more or less in unison.

"H-hello," Shelby said softly. She looked down, embarrassed. "Sorry for being a burden," she mumbled. There were so many people living here and Shelby was only adding to the mix.

[Boomer]

"You aren't a burden." said Mary gently, "We're happy to have you here." The little pups nodded, agreeing with their mother. "Since you have some time off school, we'll let you get settled in." she said, "Alessa will bring home whatever assignments you have and someone will help you." Cybil's stomach growled, making the pup sigh. "Mom, can we have pizza for dinner?" she asked, "Since you can't cook now?" "Yes, only because it's Shelby's first day with us." said Mary, "Your aunt's cooking isn't that terrible." "You've had more time to get used to it!" countered Cybil. Maria rolled her eyes as she came downstairs with her girls. She sent them in their playpen as she went to order the pizza.
