Alessa moved closer to Mary's bed, soon curling up next to her nurse. "S-surgery is scary..." she whispered, shaking a bit, "It hurts..." "It can be, but they're right, this will help." said Mary gently, pushing some of Alessa's hair out of her eyes.

David and Chrys smiled at the gesture.

[Boomer]

"I can't leave you..." said Alessa quietly, "It's scary to go by yourself." She then looked to Chrys and David. "May I stay?" she asked. "You need to go to school." said Mary, pulling the girl into a hug, "I'll be okay, I promise. When you get home from school, you can tell me what you did during the day." Alessa whined a little and shook her head.

"I don't think you would want to see Mary while she's getting her surgery," David said uncertainly. "Besides, Chrys told me you made some friends. Is that true?"

[Boomer]

"I could at least stay until she goes into the OR..." mumbled Alessa, frowning some. Mary hummed a little to help soothe the pup. Alessa then gave a nod. "Yes..." she whispered, "It's true."

"That's amazing, Alessa! Have you been enjoying school?" David asked.

[Boomer]

"It's okay..." she said quietly, "I can't focus a lot." She continued to cling to Mary, not wanting to leave her side.

David piped down, not wanting to interfere.

[Boomer]

"I'll be okay, I promise." said Mary softly, "Don't fret about my surgery, or David's wheelchair. There's still a good chance he can walk again." Alessa gave a reluctant nod as her stomach growled.

"Are you hungry, sweetie?" Chrys asked.
