Mary cleaned up the mess she made before standing up. "I'd clip her claws back so she can't hurt herself." she said gently, not blaming David.

"That's a good idea. I didn't think about that. Thanks, Mary. Are you sure I can't pay you for your troubles?"

[Boomer]

"No, don't be silly." she said, shaking her head, "It's my job to help." Mary looked to her watch as it went off. "I need to get my pups from daycare." she said, "Maybe we can have dinner tonight?"

"That would be great!... But would Maria take care of Alessa again?"

[Boomer]

"Oh, no, I mean for all of us to have dinner." she answered, "So we can get to know one another a bit better. If you're interested, of course." Alessa was quiet as she listened to the adults. Her hunger finally made her come back to reality. "I'm hungry..." she said quietly.

"Ah, of course. We already have another dinner scheduled." David flushed. "I was making dinner, but... all this happened. Can you watch Alessa while I prepare everything? I don't want her hurting herself again."

[Boomer]

Mary nodded some as she picked up Alessa. Alessa didn't fight against her as she allowed herself to be carried. "I'll let Maria know of our plans." she informed him.

"Okay." David finished the chicken and pasta.

Mary texted her sister, asking her to pick up the pups and go to David's house for dinner. She got an answer right away, so she took Alessa into the living room. She sat down, still holding onto Alessa. Alessa didn't mind as she shut her eyes, waiting for the others.

"This shall be fun," David said, smiling. "I'll get to know you all better."
