I regather myself and stand up, ready to walk back in. My phone buzzes. It was Asher: "Soon. What are you doing tomorrow, dear?" I take a deep breath. "Not sure yet. I'll have to see if someone can keep an eye on cinder if you want to catch up for a few though" I hit send and turn to head in. Thats when I hear an unfamiliar girls voice in the house. "Quinn? " I say allowed, thinking and hoping the voice was coming from in there..

"I dunno, he was there one second and then gone.." I say, a little unsure of myself. I turn to look at Quinn. "Quiiiiinnn? Whats for dinner?" I was starving!

I looked down at Cinder. "Well, kiddo, first we're going to go to McDonald's, then we're gonna go grocery shopping so we actually have real food." I grinned. Then I heard Salem call me. "Yeah, what's up?" I asked, poking my head put the door. "By the way, my sister, Raleigh, finally showed up. She's just inside of you want to meet her." I said.

I frowned. Cinder wasn't sure what happened. . . But Quinn had looked pretty freaked out when I brought that up. Did something else happen? I thought. Quinn leaned out the site and began talking to her friend, and I decided to ask Cinder a few more questions. "Hey, what did the little boy look like?" I asked. "Was he went older clothes? Did be look hurt?"

I see Quinn and realize her sister was here. "Oh! I'd love to meet her!!" I say as I walk in and see the girl. "Hi! Im Salem. I see you've met my daughter" I say with a proud smile. I look around the room and get lost in thought about Asher. Wondering how he looked now, wondering how much he's changed.

Cinder Jae Lycan
I look at the girl and think long and hard. "He was little, like me. He had yellow hair that looked messy. He wore torn oldish looking overalls. They looked like they needed to be washed!!" I said as I shook my head. "He was kind of grey though...and I could see through him almost!!!" I say as I put my hands to my mouth. "He had a HURT EYE!"

I frowned when I realized Raleigh was questioning Cinder about the little boy, I wished she would just leave it alone. Honestly, I was just hoping we were all hallucinating, and I just wanted to forget the incident.

Raleigh Shiera
I frowned at Cinder's response and was about to reply, when Quinn's friend Salem entered the room and introduced herself. "Hi, Salem! I'm Raleigh, as you probably already know. So, how are you guys liking the house?" I asked Cinder, noticing her mom seemed to be thinking about something. "It seems really. . . large, so far."

I snap back to the moment quickly. "The house? I love it. It is huge, but I dont know. I got a thing for old houses. And im happy to finally have a place of my own" I say with a proud feeling. "What do you think of it?" I say ti her with a smile.

Cinder Jae Lycan
I nod in agreement with my mommy. "I LOVE IT HERE" I say with a giggle. I then head for the living room once more but I get sidetracked by a small door in the dining room. It was just my size and I wasn't sure where it led to. I tap the door gently and notice that it is metal. "Hmm.. probably something I shouldnt go in.." I say to myself, although very curious.

While Salem and my sister talked, I decided to follow Cinder into the other room. "Hey, kiddo, what'd you find?" I asked, noticing that she stood before what appeared to be yet another unknown room. "Jeez, what is with this place?" I muttered to myself. "So, Cinder, if your mom is okay with it, maybe after dinner and the grocery store, we could make some cookies or something? We could pick up the ingredients while we're there." I said, trying to keep my mind off of the creepiness of this house.

Raleigh Shiera
I smiled again. "It really is an amazing house, like something from a movie. I still can't believe you got this place for such a deal. . . Do you think there's something wrong with it? I have a friend who got a really good deal on a house, but it turned out that there was a huge termite infestation, and the whole house collapsed." I said. But from what I heard, the problem surely wasn't termites. . . Maybe later I'd look into the history of the place. "But I doubt this place has termites. The house looks to well up-kept for that." I continued, almost to myself.

"Yeah as far as I know... there doesn't seem to be a problem. But I guess it's just a waiting game for now. " I say, since we did just move in. My phone buzzes. It was my weather app. "Hey guys.." I say, suddenly serious. "If were going out shopping, we'd better go now. It's 7 now and theres storms headed our way. Supposedly hitting us starting at 10" I say with a tiny tinge of worry.

I look up to quinn and point at the door. "I found a door. But it looks a little dangerous so im not going in yet." I say with small playful grin. "Cookies?!!? Oh yes yes yes!!! PLEASE??" I say, suddenly not worried about the door and more worried about my hungry tummy

I smiled at the girl's excitement as I led her back to the kitchen where Salem and Raleigh stood. "So, are we going shopping first, or to McDonald's? Cause this kiddo's hungry," I said as I gently poked Cinder's side.

Raleigh Shiera
I nodded in agreement. "Yeah. Do you mind if I come with? I can help bring back groceries and stuff, and I've got a few coupons for McDonald's." I said, offering to help. Honestly, I didn't want to leave; not only was their situation interesting to me, but I wanted to be there in case something happened.

I smile at Raleigh. "of course you can come!! You're more than welcome to come hang with us or whatever you want to do. It's always nice to have some company" I said with a smile at the girl. I look towards my daughter and giggle. "We probably should eat first before the hungry beast takes over, right Cinder?" I say to her with a wink

I giggle as she poked my side. In return I attempt to poke her back. Thats when what my mommy said kind of registered in my brain. "Wait.... storm???" I said, nervouse

I gave Cinder an incredulous look. "What? The fearless, brave Cinder is afraid if a storm? The same little girl who walked up a dark, creepy staircase, all by herself, afraid of some electricity in the sky and a few loud booms?" I asked, poking her again with each superlative. "How is this even possible?" I asked with a laugh.

Raleigh Shiera
I smiled at Salem. "Sounds great! Now, how're we getting there? We've got three vehicles, but mine is a bit low on gas." I said, somewhat sheepishly. I was pretty forgetful, and it was just like me to forget to fill my tank before I left home.
