"I know!!" I exclaimed as I grab as many boxes as i could handle carrying. "The little one is going to enjoy exploring, thats for sure!!" I say as Cinder enters the house ahead of me. I reach the entrance and open the door, moving a piece of firewood that was leaned up against the house to prop the door open for quinn. "Oh my god... " I half whisper in astonishment at the old but beautiful house. "I bet it's a hundred years old!!" I hear my baby chime in

"Oh my goodness gracious mommy" I say. It's so BIG. Its so old too. Oh, its LOVELY!!

I nodded in agreement. "Wow. We might just need to get a couple of cats, so this place isn't so empty." I joked. "Hey, maybe we could set up the guest rooms later on and hold a housewarming party? Cinder could invite some friends for a sleepover, and we could do a barbecue or something." I said. I was really liking the house; it was very elegant and beautiful, and I couldn't wait for my family to see it.

"Oh I would LOVE that!! What do you say Cinder??" I ask my daughter. She nods in agreement. "Lets go see what the bedrooms look like and figure out whos room is where. I think Cinder could use a nap" I say, suddenly noticing how often my little keeps yawning and rubbing her little eyes. She gives me a glare and sticks her tongue out at me and then giggles and hugs me. "Meanie" I joke with her. "Aren't the master room/s on the second floor? or were they third??" I ask, still amazed at just how HUGE this place was. "I feel like I need a map for this house!" I exclaimed nervously

After being annoyed by the idea of a nap, I nod and hug mommy. Im tired. "I go upstairs follow me" I say as i skip slowly to the old Creaky windy staircase leading up. "Mommy whos the little boy?" I say though, as I watch him stare at me from down the hall.

"Hmmm. . . I think the second, but I'm pretty sure the last owners converted the attic into a bedroom?" I replied. Cinder ran upstairs, and I heard her say something odd. "I'm sorry, did you say little boy? There shouldn't be anyone in here, this place has been locked up tight for months." I said worriedly as I followed her up the stairs. When I got to where she stood, I stopped. "Uhm, Salem?" I called. There was definitely a little boy, staring at us from the end of the hallway. "Can you come here?"

I run up the stairs to where my daughter and best friend stood, eyes dead locked on the little boy they were talking about. Within a second, he vanished. "uhhmmmm.... Im going to pretend I saw nothing.." I say in a whisper, not knowing if i should be terrified or what. "Mom he wont hurt you" My daughter uttered, straight faced and monotone. I grabbed her hand. "Rooms. We gotta find the rooms" I say on a rush to get her out of the apparent trance she was in. The upstairs seemed even bigger than the outside. "What even" I mutter to myself. All of a sudden Cinder jerks her hand from me, swings around, and giggles. "My rooms PINK MOMMY PINK!" she says as she dances in front of a rather large, light pink room with a queen sized bed and butterfly curtains.

The little boy vanishes when mommy comes up to her friend and I. I wave by to him slightly. Next thing I know, mommy is taking me up stairs to find rooms, I guess. I found my room!! ITS PINK ITS PINK! "Mine mine mine!!" I squeal in excitement.

I took a deep breath. "Yeah, that sounds good to me. . ." I said as I stared at where the boy was. Salem and Cinder headed up to the rooms, and I followed after a moment. "Wow, Cinder, that room really is. . . Pink." I said. Really pink. "Hey, I'm going to go ahead and pick a room, do you want any specific one?" I asked as I peeked into another room.

I shrug. "does'nt matter to me" I yell to her as I venture further down the hall, looking for a room. "I think Ill take this one" I say, pointing to a room that was 3 doors down from my daughters. I opened the door and peered inside. The walls were a light baby blue color. "Yep. I choose this one" I yell. I unpack the rest of the little things I had brought from my parents house and my old house and set up. The room was huge. A small but roomy walk on closet, a queen sized bed with dark blue bedding, a large vintage looking mirror and ceder wood dressar. "Hey quinn. Any idea why the old owners just LEFT their furniture...?" I questioned, since I had thought we would be needing to supply our own furniture..

I look around my big pink room and smile. "I like it" I say half to myself, half to quinn. I set my last box I was carrying down on my bed and open it up. I take my picture of me mommy and daddy out and lay it on the dresser in my room and start attempting to organize. "Ill just do this later" I say to myself as I get up to go explore some. I run out of my room and head down the long hall, away from the stairs leading back down to the main entrance

I frowned. "Ah, I don't know. . . I'll talk to the realtor tomorrow, see if they have any information. Meanwhile, I think I'll take this room," I said as I looked into a medium-sized room with light grey walls and a large window on one side. It was across the hall and between Salem's and Cinder's rooms, kind of in the middle. I set down my suitcase on the bed. "Why would anyone leave such a beautiful home, in such great condition?" I asked.

I finish setting up some of my belongings and walk to quinns room. Leaning in her door way, I comment "nice room. Hey what time is it? I just plugged my phone in I guess it died." I say with an eye roll. Just then I heard a loud crash. "Cinder?!" I yell as I head towards my daughters room to find shes not in there. "Cinder where are you?!" I yell for her

I walk the rest of the length down the hall where I find a smaller staircase leading up. But all of a sudden I hear a loud crash and my mommy start yelling for me. "Im going up" I yell back to her as I head up the creeky stairs

Checking my phone screen, I frown. "Well, that's odd. The clock on my phone is going crazy." I said. The numbers were changing sporadically, and the screen kept flickering. "Hmm. . ." I said to myself, then followed Salem as she looked for her daughter. Going up? What does she mean? I thought.
