" Yes, please!" Orrin nodded, " If that's okay? Don't want to take Daniel's dinner." He glanced down at Daniel with an amused smile as the little boy messily ate his applesauce. He already liked both Dawn and her baby brother- he was going to miss them terribly once he left to go home. The warrior smiled softly at Daniel before turning his attention back to Dawn as she spoke. " Yes, I am hungry", He said gratefully, " But you need your fish more. I think I can get my own if I tried. Maybe some for you and Daniel too?" He offered, willing to go out and try to catch them some dinner.

[Trots]

“Alright.” Dawn smiled. “After work tomorrow I’ll get you some. I can sneak some into my bag.” She shrugged and nodded a little, watching Orrin. “Hmm maybe tomorrow. It is late and I don’t want my Dad to hear you. I’ll go get the fish. Maybe my Dad didn’t eat his.” She shrugged, hoping he hadn’t do she could have more.

Orrin smiled back at her, feeling happy and content. " Thank you, Dawn" The merman said sincerely," You are very kind". He nodded as she explained why it probably wasn't a good idea to go out just yet to fish. " Alright. Will wait until tomorrow". Orrin hated the idea of taking Dawn's fish from her, even though she offered it. He refused to let her go hungry like this. If he had to, he would gladly go hungry for a little while if it meant Dawn could eat." Dawn, you don't have to share your fish. Tomorrow, I will have breakfast. All of us will have a feast for breakfast" He smiled as he continued in a slightly drowsy tone" Will go fishing and bring back all the fish we can eat." Orrin yawned softly, still holding Daniel securely on his lap.

[Trots]

“Oh? Oh you don’t have to love. I’d love that but really, it’s okay! I’d be fine. We’ll be okay. You can if you’d like but really, it’s okay.” Daniel finished his applesauce and burped before yawning and slowly closing his eyes. He felt asleep rather quickly and Dawn sighed. “You can sleep on the bed.” Dawn slowly took Daniel from Orrin and she put him in the crib before walking out to the kitchen. She came back and handed Orrin a baked fish. “There. Eat up.” She took a small bite of her piece and she laid down in the corner of her bed so he had space.

" I want to," He insisted with a warm smile, " I want to help you and Daniel. Don't know much about being a land-dweller but I know you have to eat. And I know how to catch fish. Lots of fish!" Orrin bit back another yawn as he watched Daniel fall asleep. He let Dawn take the baby from him and he rubbed his face sleepily. " Okay," He nodded, giving Dawn a soft smile before she left to go into the kitchen. As she offered him a piece, Orrin shook his head," Please? You eat it. I am okay" He insisted patiently, not wanting her to be hungry.

[Trots]

“I’m used to it love.” She opened his mouth with her hand playfully and she put the piece of fish in anyways. She finished her half and she cuddling up against a pillow, giggling a bit. She then began to whisper. “Now keep quiet... we don’t want Daniel waking. He usually does later in the morning. That’s cue for me to get to work usually.”

Orrin was surprised to hear that Dawn was used to eating so little. He was about to say something about it, but Dawn popped the peice of fish in his mouth. The merman cracked a smile despite himself and swallowed the fish, knowing he had been defeated. There was no use arguing over the baked fish any longer. Though, Orrin had made up his mind to pay her back for all she had done for him, soon. He chuckled softly and fished off the rest of his fish before stretching out on the bed comfortably. " Will keep quiet" He murmured softly, nodding. He didn't want to wake Daniel accidentaly. Orrin smiled at Dawn, his eyes sparkling with joy and a warm affection.

“Good.” Dawn smiled to him and she ruffled his hair. She then perked up happily and sat up. “Wait, can i beaid your hair?!?!” She looked down at him with hope. She loved braiding hair but never really could except to herself. She thought it might actually look good on him since his hair was long.

Orrin nodded as she asked to braid his hair, " Sure, I'd like that!". He smiled up at Dawn and took the hair tie out of his long brown and blonde hair, letting it fall nearly to his shoulders. Usually, he kept his hair pulled back to keep it out of his face while he was working. The merman liked having his hair braided, though he rarely had someone else do it for him.

She hummed happily and sat up on her knees, leaning his head back as she got to work. She started doing a French braid down the middle, though she kept hair on either side for smaller French braids that would lead up to a bun sooner or later. “Tell me if I’m hurting you.”
