zephyr's pace was slowed as he padded across the pavement, his toenails clicking softly against the sidewalk; he glanced to the side, blinking with a small grin towards the pups who tagged along with him. they were out for a walk, the cocker spaniels bouncing and trotting to keep up with the much-larger samoyed. their mother, rutilia, was exhausted; having to cater to a deaf pup was more difficult than it sounded, especially when the only other dog that could understand her was a hyper pup who scampered about unchecked, sticking her nose in trouble. hecate, the deaf fae, was slower than her sister, though pandora often paused to wait for her sibling.
as zephyr led the pair of fae across the city, he halted; "we can't go any further," he told them, crouching to be nearer to their height. "we're at the border."
