Specializing in bladed weaponry and knives, her wit is just as sharp as the weapons she uses. Vivek is not a fan of authority and can be stubborn, violent and rude.
She'll invite herself into places and just generally do what she wants. Getting her to fall in line is no easy task. Coming from a bloodline of skilled mercenaries and assassins, she knows what she's doing and how to do her job. Previously working for the highest bidder, she's going to have to adjust to working for one person.

Evangeline

An assassin was maybe not the best idea; but could you blame the queen? Her life was in danger all the time. She shook hands all day; hands that might, one day, take her life. Everyone was after the throne constantly, ready to attack the queen for anything she may do that strikes as problematic. Evangeline had to be ready; and so she was, with an assassin.

The assassin, she was told, was to show up today. Evangeline made sure to pretty herself up for this situation; her hair was done nicely, curled and tucked behind her ears. Her lips were a vibrant red, complimenting the white and red dress she wore; it was a shoulder-less dress, and the entire top half was white and the bottom was red. The sleeves started right at her armpit and ended before her wrist; the loose dress was a wise decision for the day, as the sun was beating down on everyone outside.

Evangeline turned, and let out a sigh. A servant opened the door, and bowed to greet her queen before speaking. "She's here, ma'am."

Her line of work was no easy job, she knew that she'd been brought up with that. Her job had taken her all over the world and to many strange places but this was something completely new. Sure this wasn't the first time she'd been on palace grounds or faced with a royal but usually, in these situations, she was killing somebody. This wasn't her usual deal and she was already beginning to wonder what kind of mess she may be getting herself into.

For a mind usually so calm and calculating, everything was racing to the point where she was possibly even nervous- of course, she'd never let it show. Honestly, she could have just killed somebody but nobody would ever know the only hint was how she was dressed. With a hood that easily shaded her eyes and most of her face and a coat that could be hiding almost anything, there was no doubt she was armed in one way or another.

Vivek waited patiently, curious to see what face to face impression she would get of the person she would now be working for. She wasn't planning on getting friendly; she wasn't going to be pushed around by anyone, no matter their status.

The sound of heels echoing against a marble floor could be heard from all around the castle. It was a sign that their queen was coming, the warning to act like they’re doing something. The servants would scramble to scrub the nearest object and guards would go to attention, hiding the smiles from their last conversation underneath the helmets they wore. Evangeline knew everything; you could not keep a secret from one who has eyes everywhere.

She entered the room she was told her assassin was waiting in, and smiled upon seeing her. ”It’s so lovely to finally meet you. Please, sit. There is much to discuss.” She smoothened her dress and sat across from the assassin, the feeling of unease tugging at her gut, though she’d never let it show. ”I know this must be odd for you. Have you worked for solely one person before?”

Vivek lifted her head, pulling her hood down as she heard footsteps. She could easily pick out the difference in pace and step- the person approaching was quite clearly someone with authority. Glancing around her surroundings one last time, her gaze finally landed on the door. In all honesty she was a little impatient, usually there was many more things she would have done today, get a few more jobs are least. Shaking her head gently she allowed her focus to be directed at the situation in front of her. The pay should be be better, right? It the situation wasn't to her liking she could probably just kill everyone and take her leave.

Uncrossing her arms, her cold gaze focused on the woman in front of her. "Lovely is perhaps an odd way to phrase it..." Vivek murmured before sitting down. She didn't break eye contact, not once. It was almost threatening; she was definitely testing the queen. "So far I've only worked for the highest bidder but I can adapt."

Evangeline knew a test when she saw one. She tilted her head downwards, maintaining eye contact with a smile slipping across her lips. ”Well, I suppose you'll have to get used to this, yes? Our kingdom has more than enough money to spare. Taxpayers don't have to know what their money is going towards.” She spoke, voice lowering an octave. She waved her hand, and the guards in the room began to leave in formation. She didn't break eye contact.

”Out of curiosity... A body count, if you know?” Evangeline picked up a glass of wine that sat on the table between them, taking a drink before continuing. The ability to make people pay attention, even when you are pausing; a show of power and dominance. ”Rough numbers will do. I don't expect you to remember everybody.”

The assassin looked away but quite clearly it wasn't her backing down, it was showing her disinterest, perhaps even her lack of respect for the person in front of her. She didn't like to play by the ranks of society, instead what she paid attention to was the ranking of life. It didn't matter if someone was royal, lord or jobless and homeless, if they could kill you they were ranked above you. Respect those stronger than you and make those weaker than yourself respect you. "It depends." She responded evenly. There was nothing she 'had' to do. If Vivek didn't like the discussed terms then she would make new ones or leave.

Even as the queen spoke again, her focus was still elsewhere, now it was on the blade in her hand. The silvery coloured blade glinted in the light, she was polishing it, paying little attention to the person in front of her. "That's not needed information and nor is it information I am going to give you." She stated firmly. "And of course I remember everyone. If you're not careful you might one day be on the list too." Ah, she wasn't even trying to hide her threats now.

She laughed. Her laugh, though it was clear as crystals, was laughing amusement. After letting out the curt laugh, she raised an eyebrow, lowering her head to look at Vivek. She seemed to be studying her, before putting down her wine and leaning forward. Evangeline put her hands together, placing them on her lap as she began to speak. "You truly believe you are in charge here? My guards are standing outside this room. I have eyes everywhere; they are watching and waiting for someone like you to trip over yourself. I could have you executed right now just for considering to take up this job offer." If a human could snarl like a wolf, she would be the personification of that. Her voice, crisp and clear, held seriousness.

"You're cocky. Thinking that if something went wrong here, you could easily escape. You'd be dead within seconds. You cannot be that daft to assume otherwise. So I would begin answering my questions, before I call my guards back in here and have you escorted out; with or without a fight."
