fiona nodded. “yeah, same here.” she shrugged and leaned back on the couch. “hey so, you know when you brought alya home last night?” she asked.

zach gave a small nod when she mentioned alya, his girlfriend. "yeah. i did, she left straight after, though. why?"

fiona took a deep breath. “i just... call me crazy but her resemblance to me is eerie. she looks a lot like me. like we are siblings or something.” she said quietly. “she has my exact hair color. my exact eye shape and color. same face structure.”

"it's not like you can be related to her. if you're so sure that you're related, ask your parents. even though i'm not sure they'd give you answers. it's always worth a shot."

fiona looked over at him. “did she tell you if she was adopted or not?” she asked, pulling out her phone to call her parents.

"i mean.. once she mentioned something about it. i wasn't really listening though.." he murmured, watching over fiona.

fiona called her parents, asking about it. her mother sounded worried as she told fiona the whole story. fiona’s eyes were wide as saucers.

zach looked over as she talked to her parents, watching fiona. "what did they say?" he finally asked after a few moments of silence.

fiona placed her phone on the end table. “i-i had a twin. my parents weren’t financially stable enough to care for two children back then, therfore they had to put one of us up for adoption. my mom said she gets yearly letters from my sister’s parents. they renamed her alya whe they adopted her.”

zachs eyes widened a bit in shock. "so.. i'm dating your twin sister..?"
