“he was still unconscious.” lance confirmed, glancing back at the lion. “we can always check again? i don't know. we can't risk getting into a fight when shiro is unconscious, right?”

he nodded. "I agree. If he his not awake we might as well just wait for him. we can't risk getting attacked by the galra when he's in this state.." he said, looking down at the ground. he noticed he still had is hair in a ponytail when he went to brush hair out of his face and it wasn't there, so he quickly took it down and put the elastic band around his wrist.

“come on, we can go sit with him if you want. just in case?” lance suggested, crossing his arms as he looked at keith. he had the urge to hold his hand, but knew he couldn't. crossing his arms helped fight the urge.

"sure thing," he said, starting to walk towards his lion but waited for lance to catch up with him. he was going to hold his hand when they were out of sight. if this is what it felt like to be loved, Keith liked it a lot.

“wait for me!” lance called behind him, and jogged for a few seconds. he fell in step with keith and when they were far away from allura, he slid his hand into keith's. they climbed into the lion together, and he peered over the cryopod. “do you think he'll be okay? he has to, he's shiro.”

he smiled as he felt his lovers hand in his hand own. "yeah. i really hope he will be okay." he said, squeezing his hand and then sitting down on the floor next to the cryopod, his arm in the air so he could still hold Lance's hand.

when keith sat, lance followed, sitting beside him. he leaned against him gently, head resting on his shoulder. “are you going to tell him about... us? when he wakes up,” lance asked quietly, glancing at him. “he is your brother.”

he thought for a bit. "m- maybe. he has to adjust to everything again. he probably is going to see me as galra.. and i don't want to rush into it." he said softly, rubbing lances arm in a side hug.

“yeah, of course.” lance nodded. shiro would probably be confused when he woke up. lance wondered if he knew the situation, though, if he was inside the black lion. he decided to not think into it, just to avoid a headache. “i forgot galra keith is a thing. i just assumed this is what you normally look like,” he began to tease.

keith smiled but then shook his head. "don't get too emotionally attached to galra keith, he's going to leave." he chuckled, pushing him with his shoulder softly.
