he smiled to allura, gently putting shiros head back down. "i really don't know, lance. unless we went back to earth to get a new ship built." he said, standing up. he offered lance his hand to get him to stand up. "can you walk properly, sharpshooter? if so, you're helping me get the cryopod from black," he said.

“i think all this excitement has fixed me.” lance admitted, taking keith's hand and keeping it for longer than necessary, though eventually letting go. “but... yeah, let's do that.” he smiled at keith, beginning to go towards black.

he smiled as they walked towards the lion. "so... what did you want to tell me back on the castle before i left?" he said to him when they were out of earshot.

“i don't remember wanting to tell you something.” lance crossed his arms, glancing at keith. he was lying, obvious from his tone and lack of eye contact. “you sure you didn't hit your head, mullet?”

"lance, im not stupid. i can tell you're lying," he said, ."actually, I almost did hit my head," he said after he poked him in the shoulder with his finger.

“hey!” lance huffed, whacking his finger away from his shoulder. “okay, okay... i did have something to tell you.” he stopped walking when they got to the mouth of black, who was waiting for them to enter. he turned to keith. “... i think your mullet suits you.”

"really?" he raised an eyebrow for a quick few seconds while looking at him. "well I mean, of course it suits me. I was born with it," he said, his arms crossing slightly.

okay, he bought it. lance nearly wiped the sweat from his brow, but was quickly distracted by keith's words. “...what did you just say? you were born with a mullet?” he stared at him, mouth agape, almost offended by keith's words. he quickly wiped the expression and moved on. “born with it or not, it makes you stand out.”
