lance stood by allura as she sent him the coordinates, her face appearing on the black paladin's screen as she spoke. "you should receive them in a few ticks... there. please, keith, be safe... and bring shiro home safely." allura said, worry in her voice before her face vanished off his screen. lance was next. “if you need back up, you know who to call! kick their butts and get our shiro back, keith.” he said with a grin, putting a thumbs up next to his cheek so keith could see before he vanished, and he fell back into the control room chair. “if he gets himself hurt... oh, quiznak.” he groaned to himself, making some of the paladins raise their eyebrows.

he sped off in the black lion and into outer space. "don't worry, you big softies," he said, looking at Lance's face on the screen and smiling softly. he looked down at the coordinates and commanded the lion to head towards them. he was shaking slightly, not sure if it was of excitement or fear.

lance watched black speed off, and began to stand. “well, now what?” he questioned, and allura looked at lance. "we wait." wait? just sit and wait? no, that wasn't okay. “we have to do something. can't we work on finding lotor?”

Keith had just finished fighting against the cloned shiro and sliced the robotic arm off. while he was unconcious, he dragged him into his lion. "guys.. i got shiro.." he commed, panting heavily and just generally scared at what he had done.

lance, pidge, hunk, coran and allura were desperately trying to get the castle back up and running - pidge had just successfully ended the virus shiro had been spreading. they were making their way to the control room when lance heard a beeping noise, an incoming communication, and bolted to answer it. “keith! you're okay!” he practically shouted, but his happiness faltered when he spoke. "bring him back into the castle, keith. we'll take care of him." allura spoke quickly, concern growing.

"yeah.. will do, princess," he said, flickering on his mask so nobody would see the scar on his cheek and small cuts on his face. he quickly pulled up into the castle and leaving the black lion in his hangar.

“keith!” lance was the first one in his hangar, as he ran as soon as keith's face disappeared from the screen. upon only keith exiting the black lion, lance did what he felt inclined to do ─ throw his arms around keith and pull him close into a hug. “i totally thought you died, you big idiot ─ never do that again!” he was worrying like a boyfriend, too captivated by keith's return to notice the other paladins bringing shiro out of the black lion, as careful as can be.

"i was gone for less than an hour, lance. stop worrying si much," he said, wrapping his arms around him too. "nothing bad happened. i promise," he said, tightening the hug.

“yeah, but, you just...” lance didn't have a comeback. it was true, but he didn't let go of keith. feeling his arms tighten around him was only reason for lance to hold on longer, until he realised keith still had his mask on. “let me see your face.” he demanded, stepping back.

"sharpshooter loses!" he snickered. he pouted when he stepped away and he sighed when he asked to see his face. he flickered off his mask, smirking. "why? is my face so... Intoxicating?" he said, sort of a worried tone but trying to joke.
