“what, this old thing?” lance joked, gesturing to his legs. “they'll work in like, a day, alright? i've had worse. remember when i nearly died saving coran from that bomb?” he said, and put his hand on top of keith's. “if it was a problem, keith, i wouldn't have offered. you can tell me anything.”

he just sighed, sitting in silence. when he spoke to he didn't make direct eye contact with the red paladin. "i guess... since you came out to me I feel like.. i should also tell you something." he said, slowly taking away his hand. "i think im gay," he said quietly. he immediately shouted at himself internally in his mind for saying 'i think'.

lance was quiet for a few seconds, processing. he slowly smiled, realising what had happened, and wrapped his arms around keith. it was a side hug, sure, but still a hug. “everyone loves you, keith, regardless of attraction. to think otherwise is stupid. we're a family. everyone, especially me, will accept you for who you are.” he reassured, rubbing his arm.

he smiled as he knew lance would accept him. "it means a lot to me, lance," he smiled, accepting the side hug and leaning against him.

lance dropped the arm in front of keith, keeping the other that was wrapped around him. he used his free hand to count the number of boys on the ship. “so... that means you have a crush on either hunk or coran, and i'm placing my bets on coran─”

his face went even paler than usual. "holy crap lance no!" he said, pushing him slightly with a bump of his shoulder. "i don't want to talk about this," he stated, meeting eyes with him again.

lance let out a fit of laughter, his face turning red from the rush of blood. “okay, okay.” he wheezed when he was calming down, and squeezed his shoulder. “i won't bring it up again. cross my heart and hope to die, samurai! ... haha, i rhymed.”

"it doesn't rhyme properly, you need more syllables," he said, pushing him gently again. "thanks, sharpshooter," he said, bringing his knees up to his chest.

lance rolled his eyes. “yeah, yeah, whatever. it rhymes in my heart.” he said defensively, and watched keith move his knees. a smile spread across his face and he took the hand of the black paladin, pulling him backwards to lie down on the bed. he turned onto his side to look at him. “have you ever slept? like, in your life?”

he blushed again when he was pulled down onto the bed. "what do you mean? of course I've slept." he said, lookifn at him with confused eyes.
