marcella lit up and nodded. “yes.” she said, before grabbing a box of elbow macaroni and placing it on the counter. she poured the water in a pot before putting it on the stove to boil:

kat nodded her head, watching marcella before moving to the sink to wash her hands. "alrighty, what's my job?" she questioned in a hum, turning her head as a text lit up her phone. lifting it up, she laughed. "river's asking if we want something from starbucks." kat announced.

marcella shrugged. “can you put the ritz in a bag and crush them?” she asked. “can i have a caramel mocha?” she asked with a grin. she didn’t know why she was so happy.

kat nodded her head, texting river what they wanted before putting her phone aside and grabbing the ritz. opening a sleeve of the crackers, she then poured them into a bag before zipping it shut and beginning to smash them up.

soon enough, the mac and cheese was in the oven. marci sighed. “i need to find a guy.” she said quietly, twirling her hair: deep down, she knew she wouldn’t find a good guy.

kat listened to marci, smiling slightly. "you will," she assured her friend, taking a seat on one of the stools. kat was never really one to date or get with a lot of guys, she didn't really like a lot of them.

marcella sighed. “but everyone’s a douche.” she shrugged, waiting for the mac and cheese to bake. “hm..” she murmured. “lucas seems nice.” she said as she scrolled through her snapchat.

kat nodded in agreement. "that they are. but hey, your knight in shining armor will come soon enough." she wiggled her brows, leaning against the counter. as river entered the house, she grinned as he walked to the kitchen and placed their drinks down, eagerly taking hers. "thanks, riv!" she spoke happily.

marcella sighed. “are you sure?” she asked, turning as river entered. “thanks! your mac and cheese is in the oven.” she said, glancing over as the timer went off. she turned it off and got the pan out of the oven.

river's eyes lit up at the mention of mac and cheese, kat rolling her eyes playfully. she had no idea why he was so obsessed with mac and cheese. once marcella took the pan out, he almost immediately began scooping some into a bowl. "thanks, princess." he mused, moving to the counter.
