It barely felt as though much time had gone by, as he worked. It helped that the saloon was busy, and he knew most everyone. Even the sheriff was sitting up at the bar, and the older gentleman had known Casimir since he was a baby. He was the one that had most conversation with Casimir, since the sheriff wanted to talk about the group of cowboys that had wandered into town, and had obviously seen - though not heard - the conversation happen between the bartender and Reese.
"So what's 'is and 'is pals deal here, then?" the sheriff asked.
Casimir shrugged slightly, "I'm not sure. I think they're just passint through. Maybe looking to stop by for a little bit. He seems okay, though," he replied, carefully.
The sheriff didn't seem very convinced, though. "Hmm... I wouldn' take 'em t' be innocent jus' yet. Remember that McCree guy a couple months ago?"
Casimir nodded slightly, suppressing a blush, and glad that the lighting wasn't bright enough to make it obvious. "Yeah, he was... someone."
"Certainly was. At least you stayed away from him, aside from serving him, hm? If I hadn' been the one to ensure he was six foo' under, I'd be ou' there, looking for him!"
Casimir just nodded in agreement, then excused himself to serve some more customers.
A little while later, at a few minutes until midnight, Casimir glanced back to see an older man come out of the back room to prepare to take over the bar. His father. He was older than he appeared, aside from his salt-and-pepper hair, and it was clear that Casimir had gotten his eye colour and stature from his father. He also seemed to be rather gruff, but softened easily - and unusual trait for a man to be public about, but anyone who knew him knew better than to question or comment about it, for he could become deeply protective and defensive in a split second.
After exchanging a few words with his father, Casimir stepped out from behind the bar, and approached Reese. "Alright, I'm free. Though I'd watch out for the sheriff," he pointed the man out, "since he's sort of suspicious of you and your pals."
