What a joke. It wasn't the first time that the thought had slipped through his mind. The large wolf continued forth at a leisurely pace, the muscles in his shoulder twitching as some small insect landed there. He'd been given boarder patrol, despite it not typically being his task. The alpha was angered at his previous expedition: a trip into the city for pizza, with plenty of taunting towards the others of his kind. He knew they wouldn't be able to do anything about it as long as he remained in populated areas; they were strongly limited in that regard by the human law enforcement. So, the man was given extra duties as some sort of minuscule punishment. He was combative, but not utterly stupid enough to defy the alpha.
He was hardly paying attention, likely the reason that he hadn't smelled the intruder before he heard him. Quickly lifting his head at the sound of breaking leaves and twigs, his body tensed. After emitting an over-dramatic huff, Dorran quickened his pace and soon met up with with the trespasser, a grey wolf who reeked of humans. He emerged from the heavy underbrush several yards in front of the other werewolf, letting loose a low growl. His ears were lowered, teeth bared as he glanced over this stranger, slowly inching closer. He gave the other time to react, assuming he'd turn tail and run. Dorran wasn't able to pick up the scents of any others, and doubted the guy would fight given he could easily be outnumbered in the matter of seconds. It wasn't that he was opposed to a brawl, but was rather feeling somewhat lazy.
