1x1 with Sweet._.Sakura

For years, a lonely ghost has "haunted" the same building without being noticed by it's tenants. They have watched the building change over the years and seen people come and go. No one seems to pay attention to them, despite their best efforts to be noticed. The lonely ghost has tried everything from moving furniture and making spooky noises, but nothing seems to work. Over the years, Character A nearly gives up on any one noticing them- until they meet a young human who has just moved into the building that supposedly can see ghosts.

This is a roleplay between myself (rubyrocketboots13) and Sweet._.Sakura. Please don't post unless you're one of us <3

Name: Takumi

Age: 20

Gender: Male

Looks: On the short side for a guy, thin, not very much muscle, green eyes, short dark brown hair, lightly freckled, has a noticeable limp from an injury, he also has several scars on his chest but keeps them covered. Usually he wears soft, too large sweaters, comfy jeans, hytops, his leg brace and sometimes a colorful beanie.

Personality: Takumi is really a big softy. He is very kind and rarely ever gets mad. His soft heart will probably be his down fall. He can't seem to find fault in any human, though this makes him a bit susceptible to being taken advantage of. He doesn't seem to hold grudges at all. Takumi is very shy around other people and used to hide behind his more outgoing sister when they were kids. He often gets lost in his work and prefers to be alone. All in all, he is a big push over with a kind heart!

Other: He was a previously a fireman, but he was injured by an accidental explosion that injured his left leg badly. Now he has to wear a leg brace and it pains him sometimes still. Takumi is an artist and sold his paintings in a street market to help support his family. He loves animals (he'll take in pretty much any stray), this is probably because he grew up on a farm with his two siblings.

Rose Thompson

Rose is a ghost living inside Elmoore Apartments. A lonely ghost, just seeking attention. Her unnatural and suspicious cause of death is still a mystery to humans. Only she knows the truth... But who would listen to a ghost. 'Creatures' that are supposedly only childish scares. She continues to live her life, sleeping in a cramped, dusty loft for over 50 years and ocassionaly moving furniture and turning clock handles.

Somewhere in Elmoore Apartments, was a small, cramped loft. Endless stacks of boxes and piles of books, half-eaten by mites, were carelessly thrown across the small room. The windowpane was dusty and the curtains were drenched due to the many leaks in the window. In the centre of the room, stood a rather modern, but dusty couch. On that couch, lay a thin, pale young woman with medium-lenght dark brown hair and a gentle, womanly white dress was showcased on her perfectly. She reached her small, pale hand upwards and moved her fingers slightly, making the lightbulb flicker. Boredom seemed to eat her alive. She slowly got up and looked at an old grandfather clock, barely working. It was 25 minutes past midnight. She got up slowly and stuck her head through the solid wall. She looked around only to find out it was empty. A room across the corridor, there was an empty room. She remembered everyone that used to live there: A lady with Alzeihmers, that had to move to a hospital, a family of 3 that kept moving house, and an eldery man with a cat and his grandson. They all had to leave eventually.
"I wonder who will move in next..." She thought to herself.
Not able to cope with the boredom, she passed through the wall, into the empty room. Surprisingly, someone furnished the once empty apartment. She must have been sleeping when they did that. The whole room was beautifully decorated with modern furniture. Seeing this new sensation, Rose started to move the furniture around, and plugged the cable out of the new tv...

When she was finally done and satisfied with the huge mess she made, she glided happily over to her loft, snickering.

After what felt like weeks of searching for an apartment he could afford, Takumi finally stumbled upon Elmoore Apartments. The rent was surprisingly cheap and it was actually a decent apartment. The owner had mentioned something about an urban legend of a poltergeist haunting the building, but Takumi was sure that it was only some kids playing harmless pranks or something. He was just thankful to finally get a place of his own that he could afford. It hadn't taken very long for Takumi to move all of his furniture and art supplies into his new home and settle in.

After a long day of getting unpacked, Takumi had decided to paint for a while to relax. Painting had always been his favorite way to unwind. Getting lost in his art, Takumi lost all track of time and found himself painting for more than half the night before he knew it. Rubbing his olive green eyes tiredly, the young man glanced down at his wrist watch. " Half-past midnight?" He muttered to himself, shaking his head, " Man, I really need to get some rest." Takumi cleaned up his art supplies and set his unfinished painting to the side so it could dry. Groggily, he headed to the apartment's tiny kitchen to get a glass of milk before he went to bed. As he walked into the living room, he smacked right into his sofa and tumbled over. " Ow, ow, ow" Takumi winced and glanced around the dark living room" I thought that was over... there?" It didn't take him long to realize that someone had moved his furniture around. " I bet it was Haruka or some of those troublemakers the landlord warned me about" He grumbled, blaming his older brother automatically. Takumi got to his feet carefully and poked his head out of the door to see if he could catch a glimpse of the mischief-makers.

Rose was snickering quietly under her breath. She couldn't believe that she pulled that off. Finally, something interesting happened. She was tired of flickering the lightbulb and knocking on all of the apartment doors at 2am. Maybe she should go there again and see what other fun pranks she can pull on the new neighbours...

A couple minutes later, Rose slowly crept towards the wall. She heard a human breathing in the doorway. Suddenly the door slammed shut. She leaned through slowly and the coast was clear. With a cheeky grin on her face, she glided towards the apartment she messed up earlier...

Not seeing anyone in the hallway, Takumi frowned a bit more and headed back into his apartment. He shivered slightly, feeling a bit uneasy- as if someone was watching him. " This is so strange.." He remarked to himself quietly, before shaking his head, " Maybe I'm just being paranoid?" Takumi had never lived alone before; it made sense that he was just a little jittery. Chuckling slightly at his own foolishness for being scared so easily, he pushed away the strange feeling in his chest and decided to get himself that glass of milk. Takumi hummed to himself cheerily as he headed into the kitchen.

Rose slowly glided into the apartment. She ended up in the bedroom. The furniture was moved back to were it should have been. The human made some small placing changes, but it looked rather nice. Curiously she peered through the wall and saw the human pouring a glass of white liquid. He wasn't as tall as the other humans but quite a bit handsome. He had big olive eyes and seemed to be alone. Rose drifted over and hid behind the bookcase in the living room, that was the closest room to the kitchen. She didn't want to approach him too soon, as a sudden cold feeling might alert him.

A strange feeling prickled at the back of Takumi's neck again, as if he were being watch. The young man shivered inadvertently and looked around again unsurely. "Hello?" He called, feeling a bit silly for feeling so nervous, " Is anybody there?" Takumi left his glass on the counter and shuffled out of the kitchen to search the house. " Haruka, if that's you..." He huffed slightly. As he finally noticed the pale, dark haired young woman hiding behind his bookshelf, Takumi froze in place. His eyes wide, he stuttered " You're not Haruka" He said dimly before regaining his composure. " Ah, sorry..." He said, rubbing the back of his neck apologetically. What were you supposed to say to a ghost living in your apartment building? Takumi mustered up his friendliest smile and gave a tiny wave in greeting " Hi, I'm Takumi." He introduced himself hesitantly," I live here now, I guess."

Rose froze in place. She backed up further against the wall, a shocked look on her face... Was she dreaming?
"C-Can... How? Is this... P-Possible!? How can you see me?!"
She soon felt her hand go through the wall. She stopped backing up, knowing she'd fall if she went any further. She was more scared and shocked than the human was.
