>> heidi sleepily opened her eyes to the sound of her food and water bowls being refilled. "good morning..." she mumbled, still half asleep. the shepherd got up and stretched, feeling the pain of hunger in her stomach. she yawned and started to eat her breakfast.

the kai ken left her bowls alone for a while, just chewing on a bone.

>> once heidi finished eating, she drank a bit of water and then laid back down in her bed. the shepherd silently began to chew on her nyla-bone again for a bit, and then a human came again to take her on a walk. the female perked up when she was put on a leash and led out of her cage. the canine pulled ahead a bit, eager to go outside.

right as heidi got back kehlani was being taken out, "hey" she said as she walked by, smiling a bit. the human walked kehlani to a grassy area, letting kehlani do her business. when the human wasn't paying attention kehlani lunged forward, the leash being yanked out of the human's hands. the human chased her around for a solid five minutes, the kai ken running around the building and around the parked cars infront of the shelter. soon after kehlani sat down, the angry human snatching the leash and walking her back inside, kehlani's face full of amusement and pride.

>> "hi", heidi smiled back. the walk wasn't too out of the ordinary. the female did her business and walked down the street with the human for about fifteen minutes, and then headed back. once the sheepdog was back in her cage, she went back to chewing on her half-finished nyla-bone.

the human put kehlani back in her cage, practically slamming the cage door as they left. the kai ken laughed, "someone's mad."

>> "what happened?" the sheepdog asked, looking up from her bone.

[dxrmon]

"just played a little game." she said, starting to eat her food from her bowl. she paused, looking up at the sheepdog. "have you given the running away idea any thought?"

>> "not really..." the sheepdog stopped chewing and looked away, slinking back down in her bed a bit. "i still think it's a bit risky."
