>> heidi was mindlessly chewing on a red rubber ball when she heard the kai ken's voice. she perked up slightly and looked in the direction of where the sound came from. "who..?" the sheepdog mumbled, barely loud enough for kehlani to hear.

the kai ken was sightly surprised that heidi heard, then again she did say it out loud. "these stupid humans. they act like we're toys that they can just put us up when their done playing with them." kehlani said, speaking as if the humans were the enemies. "what's the point of being here if all they do is keep you in a cage?" the kai ken said, frustration obvious in her voice.

>> "i can relate." heidi shook her head. "my old human forgot to feed me pretty much every day. she was an elderly one though." she mumbled, with a bit of frustration hinted in her voice. "at least her home was interesting..."

kehlani sighed, laying down. "that sucks." the kai ken said, not mentioning her own situation. "have you seen a possible place to escape yet? " she asked hopefully, hinting to the idea of escaping. kehlani had always wanted to live on the streets, its better than living in a cage anyways.

>> heidi shook her head. "nah. i'd rather play it safe and stay, rather than risking it but living wild and free." she began to gnaw on a nyla-bone. "what if i was caught? or if i got lost?"

[dxrmon]

"come on. you wouldn't get caught, just act vicious and they would leave. you and you can't get lost if you don't know where you're going." kehlani said, trying to convince her that the stray life wasn't so bad. "what's your name anyways?" the kai ken asked, not intending it to sound rude.

>> "heidi." the shepherd replied. "yours?" the kai ken didn't seem that bad to her.

hmm, the name fits her, kehlani thought. "kehlani." the female said, most dogs didn't like her name, but she didn't really care.

>> "kehlani..." heidi repeated under her breath, hoping to remember the kai ken's name for later on. "what's your story?" she asked curiously. "how did you get here?"

"why do you wish to know?" kehlani passive aggressively. nobody had cared enough to ask before, even though its a simple gesture.
